Éponine POV

I sit in the back of a musky old jail cell, smelling only slightly better than the stench of old dead rats that. accompany me here.

Enjolras.

I shall never forget the name, he is the reason I am in here. All I wanted was to discover why he was watching me. I had done no wrong. I am sick and tired of how I am treated, no matter what my name is I should not be treated this unjustly. The government wonders why we lower class citizens steal, and are rude. It's because that's what we are expected to do, its how we survive. We have no other way. Even if you're lucky enough to get a job, it will never be enough to cover expenses, meanwhile the rich bath in gold and stuff their faces full, with a meal that could feed one family for two whole weeks.

Enjolras.

I hear the name echo again in my head. Why am I in here, him. I need to have him know how I feel, this feeling of bloodlust, this isn't me, but I can't help but fantasize about him at least being out in jail himself. What if this is what he wanted? Perhaps he thougt I would steal from him. Well, now I shall. He made my time wasted, I shall steal something precious to him.

Clang,Clang,Clang.

As I sat there planning my little scheme, someone approached.

"You're free to go miss" Said a grumbly old policeman.

"What? How?" I asked throughly confused.

"Someone payed  your bail" he answered me, leaving only more questions.

"Can I know who?" I pry, trying to get more information

"It was a man. I don't know who, but he left this" he replied handing me a red jacket.

My eyes recognize the jacket immediately.

Enjolras.

So many options ran through my head, but one rang loud and clear, "There would be no forgetting this man, and no escaping him, no matter what he wanted, or why he did this. I would have to face him"

It was then that I started out on my journey to find him.
