Nora's POV :
Everything was soooo messed up. We girls were not able to stop our tears. Sapphire met with a accident and then in coma. Doctor said she was in a critical situation. She hit her heard hard, three ribs broken, fractured legs, bruises, etc. She might even suffer from memory loss. We were completely broken. We might looses our friend anytime.
Not just that. There was another bad news. The truck driver who hit Sapphire was Tusakane. Remember, Maddy's African ex. He didn't survive. Maddy suffered from a huge shock. I know that she doesn't love her. But they were once in a relationship. They cared for each other. Even after they broke up.
Tusakane's family doesn't care about his death. So they didn't come to his funeral. What a family! Cheap people. Tusakane's friends who lives in US , Maddy and us went to his funeral.
Everyone was wearing black. Some gave speeches about Tusakane. Maddy was one of them.
Maddy's POV :
I took a deep breath and started my speech.
"Hello, everyone. I was Tusakane's ex and friend. He was a special guy in my life. A distraction from my problems, my pain reliever. We never loved each other but we definetly cared for each other. Anyway after the funeral ceremony we left.
A lot of things happened. Our school principal, Miss Rosy suspended Marcus for his deeds for a week. But didn't kicked him out of the football deal. Cz he was a good player. Police arrested him as Sapphire's parents pressed charges against him. But soon he would be bailed out because Marcus parents have connections with the police. The football match was postponed to next week so that everyone gets time to clean up the mess.
Maddy still had her underground boxing match. Maddy mentally was not prepared to fight but her boss was not taking any of her excuses. He is a strict and dangerous man. So she was forced to fight.
Days past by but still there was no improvement in Sapphire's condition. Our fear was increasing. Shay was always there for me though. Everyday, kissing me to distract me from my problems. He kisses me the every chance he gets and refreshes me.
Shay's grand ma cancelled her brithday party due to her health issues. She got a minor stroke. Shay and I visited her. She didn't look good.
Another interesting thing happened. One night I saw Ben Stone came to see Sapphire. That too furtively. I saw him staring at Sapphire with a emotion I couldn't describe. But the emotion seemed good. When he saw me he startled and said he just came to see her just like the other student. Being a nice classmate. I shrugged. I also made a mental note of asking him why was Shay's grandma giving him a blow job.
Soon Maddy's match night arrived. We came to Maddy's house to get ready. Then suddenly the door bell rang. I opened the door and a old man in suit holding a briefcase was standing.
"Hello, I am Mr. Monroe. Lawyer of Tusakane Ziame. Are you Miss Madison Mary Gomez?" The old man asked politely. I nodded no and called Maddy. I let him in and led him to the living room. He took a seat. Maddy came and shook hands with him. We all were confused.
"Miss Gomez I have to talk to you alone." Mr. Monroe said.
"No, its okay. You can talk in front of my friends. And please call me Madison or Maddy." Maddy said.
"Alright. Maddy Tusakane left a letter and a will for you. " Mr.Monroe said.
He handed the letter to her and she started reading. We all came beside her and read the letter written by Tusakane.
Dear Maddy,
I have no family. I intent of not having one. You are the only person close to me. I know when you get this letter I will already be dead. I know you like tattoos and piercing. So I decided when I die my tattoo shop will be yours. Its written in the will. Hope you like it and please take care of it.
