Kaiden and I stayed the night in a jet. When I asked where we were going he told me Germany. A bit cliche in my opinion considering we were going to the 'vampire kingdom' but whatever. When we arrived at the airport I peeked out of the small window to my right and saw a limo. Two big men in suits who looked like they could snap me in half stood in front of it.
"Uh. Kaiden?"
"Yes?"
"Please tell me those men over there aren't our ride, right?"I glanced to my left to see kaiden.
He peeked out the window,"ah, yes, they are."
I gulped,"they're going to kill us."
He laughed,"don't worry they're just my guards."
"What the hell do you need guards for?"
"I guess you could say I'm important to most vampires,"he simply said.
I snorted,"yeh right."
He winked at me,"let's go."
Kaiden gently grabbed my hand and helped me out of my seat. When we arrived at the limo one of the huge men opened my door for me while the other made his way to the driver's seat. I glanced at kaiden nervously and stepped in the limo. I wasn't use to all this. Expensive cars, jets, and now limos. Perhaps there's more to kaiden then I originally thought. kaiden just acted like this was all perfectly normal. After a few minutes into the ride I was already becoming sleepy when kaiden rolled down the window that separates us from the driver.
"Jason. Do me a favor and tell the maids at the mansion to prepare a room for a guest. Oh, and while I'm thinking about it tell my tailor i need to see her right away when we get to the mansion."
"Yes sir,"his deep voice rumbled and kaiden rolled up the little privacy window.
I was too tired to comment on kaiden so I cuddled into his shoulder and fell asleep.

"Kali, wake up,"I opened one eye and glared at kaiden.
When he realized I wasn't moving he picked me up bridal style and walked me to his mansion. Wait... Mansion?!?! Kaiden nearly dropped me as I freak out.
"Kaiden! What the hell?!?! You didn't tell me you were rich?!?!"
Kaiden puts me down seeing as I was now awake.
"I'm not. I'm just, sorta a king,"I laugh sarcastically.
"You've got to be kidding me. What do you even know about being a king?"
"Like you would know,"he glared at me.
"Your right. I wouldn't, but I know damn well neither do you. Your too layed back,"I retorted.
He snorted,"that's when I'm off duty. Duh,"I rolled my eyes and shook my head
"Are you coming in or what? The tailor is waiting for you,"I nearly sputtered.
"T-Tailor?"
"Yes. We were having a ball tonight but since your here with me I guess your coming too."
"No,"I said without hesitation.
He sighed,"kalani. You have to go. I need to keep an eye on you because we still don't know if this is going to work."
I nodded my head an understanding,"fine."
He smiled,"come,"kaiden held out his arm and I looped mine around his as he maneuvered me around his mansion to a specific room.
When kaiden opened the door I was pleasantly suprised. Tables sat on the corners of the rooms. Half the tables were filled with beautiful jewelry as the other half was filled with hundred of designs of dresses. In the middle were two mannequins with two beautiful dresses. One was amethyst while the other was light blue. A scrawny lady in a pencil skirt with tight curls pinned up into a bun came running into kaidens arms.
"Kaiden baby! So nice to see you again and oh, my,"she looked at me,"she's even more beautiful in person,"I looked down and blushed.
Kaiden looked at me softly,"yes, she is,"then he composed himself and clapped his hands,"now, about those dresses."
"Seeing how her blue eyes have a hint of amethyst I pulled this one out,"she pointed to the dress,"but I also thought this light blue one would go great with her skin tone."
Kaiden nodded in agreement,"kalani. Which one do you prefer."
I walked over to the dresses. I felt the amethyst dress. It felt like silk.
"This one. It's beautiful,"I said in awe.
"I hoped you would pick that one,"she winked at me,"and I also know just the think to go with it.
She pointed at a table and kaiden walked over to it. I began to go check it out when she pushed me to the side and started measuring me.
"I would kill for these curves girl. You are lucky,"then she leaned in and whispered,"no wonder you were able to seduce kaiden."
I stuttered,"oh, no. You don't understand. It's not like that. He's-,"I was cut off.
"Don't worry. You'll secret is safe with me,"I began to get flustered with her misunderstanding. I would have taken the time to explain to her our relationship but kaiden began to walk over.
"Will you have the dress done in time for the ball?"he tucked his hands into his pockets.
"Of course kaiden. I'm hurt that you've even asked,"she joked.
He smiled,"alright then I'll leave you to it."
Kaiden and I walked out of the room together.
I didn't know if I was excited for the ball or not, but I had a feeling some shit was about to go down.
