chapter 35

Zeref's POV
I heard their footsteps trailing off out the door. I'm done playing games.

Lucy's POV
I CANT BELIEVE HE JUST KICKED A DOOR AT ZEREF! What am I going to do? Zeref will surely try to kill them. I wish I could do something to help.

Sting's POV
We ran as fast as we could, away from the castle. Black mist began to spill from the back door and wash over the land like wave. It was catching up quickly. Natsu's footing began to falter, my vision started to blur, and everyones skin was turning purple.
"It's poison!" Shouted Lucy, " hurry you guys have to get out of here!" She said as tears began to form in her eyes.
"It'll be alright Blondie," I reassured, taking her hand.
"hold on Lucy we'll get you home" said Rogue. We continued to move forward, now drowsy from the poison.

Rogue's POV
I can't keep this up much longer, my body feels like led, and my skin feels like it's on fire.
Erza fell to her knees, clutching her arms and digging her nails into her skin.
Sting fell to the ground, his eyes shut tight, clenching his teeth. Lucy was the next to fall, then myself, then the others.
In a whirlwind of dark mist, zeref appeared in front of us. He snached Lucy and hauled her up over his shoulder. We were all too weak to fight, so all we could do was watch.
"You'll all die soon so there is no point in struggling. As for this one, " he gestured to Lucy, "you'll never see her again, nor will she live long enough to see anyone" he smirked.
"Bastard!" Yelled natsu, clearly infuriated.

Lucy's POV
This is my chance.
I grabbed the dagger I kept under my dress and plunged it though zeref's chest. We fell to the ground and the poison mist cleared.
"Lucy, -" rogue began.
"He's not dead" I interrupted " we have to get out of here, now!"

Timeskip
(lucy's apartment the following morning)

I woke up to find that I was back in my apartment! Thank God that we got away. If anything happened to any of them, I could never live with myself. I rolled over to see sting and rogue sleeping on the floor beside my bed.
I grabbed rogues arm and tried to wake him.
"Why are you two sleeping on the floor"
Rogue opened his mouth to reply but was interrupted by sting.
"We stayed to make sure zeref didn't come back to try to steal you away again."
I smiled. They're so sweet.
"I'm going to go freshen up and then we can go to the guild hall." I said before turning to go to the bathroom for a shower.
When I finished getting ready I walked into the living room to see sting, who had slipped on a white hoodie over a gray T-shirt along with a dark gray pair of pants. As for rogue, he was sporting a dark gray blazer with black slacks and a white top. He had also put his hair up, and I have never seen anyone more handsome. I couldn't help but stare.

Rogue's POV
"Like the new look Lucy?" I smirked. She turned away trying to hide her blushing face. She's so cute sometimes.
"Y-yeah" she mumbled.
I then took her in my arms and held her close.
"I'm just glad you're alright" I smiled. She snuggled closer to my chest as a response.
-sting **coughs loudly**-
"Other people are in the room" he said sarcastically with a hint of anger in his voice.
"Right, just you" I smirked. He looked like he was about to punch me.
Lucy pulled away,
"Let's go to the guild" she smiled.
"Alright!" Sting said, linking his arm through hers. I'll let him do that for now. It's pretty funny how gleeful he can be.
Sting's POV
I linked my arm through  Blondie's and strolled out the door and down the street with rogue following close behind.

When we arrived at the guild, all of the girls pounced on Blondie while crying.
"You're back!"
"Thank goodness"
"I missed you!"
"I swear if you ever leave like that again...*"
"Lu-chan!!"
They were all yelling happy to see their friend safely returned. Lucy was so flustered but she was happy to see her friends.
Rogue&stings POV: She's so beautiful when she smiles like that. I want to wake up to that beautiful smile every morning.😍
Lucy's POV
The guild finally settled down. I walked over to the bar and sat between rogue and sting.
"So blondie, did ya miss me??" Sting said smirking. I could feel my face heat up a bit.
"Y-yeah. It was really lonely up there and I was so glad when I saw you guys"
Sting's POV
I smiled hesitantly. You guys. Not just you. **sigh**
"You okay sting?" She asked while looking up at me with those beautiful chocolaty brown eyes of hers. I could just melt in her gaze.
"Yeah it's nothing" I half smiled, placing my hand on her head.
...
" AWE SO CUTE!!!" Mira squeeled while grabbing my face.
"Ahg, stop it Mira" I tried to say as she pinched and pulled at my face like a grandmother.
Rouge's POV
I was talking with natsu, but was interrupted by mira.
"AWE SO CUTE!"
I turned to see her grab sting's face and pinch and pull on his cheeks like a grandmother. I couldn't help but laugh.
Sting's POV
ROGUE AND NATSU ARE FUCKING LAUGHING AT ME! assholes. But Lucy is giggling too, but she's trying to hide it. She's so cute when she laughs.
"What're you laughin at blondie?" I smirked when Mira finally stopped. She looked up at me, opened her mouth to speak, but then she just started laughing again. I cracked a smile before turning back to the bar.
Rogue's POV
I'm glad they're getting along again :)
I stood up and walked over to Lucy.
Lucy's POV
Sorry for laughing at you sting but that was hilarious 😂. You can be so cute sometimes...
A pair of arms draped over my shoulders. it was rogue. I could feel my face heating  up.
"Hey beautiful" he whispered in my ear. Okay I know my face is red now.
"You want to go out later?" He asked while leaning over my shoulder.
"Sure!" I smiled "I'd love to"
"Great, I'll pick you up at 6" he kissed my cheek and left.
"S-so haha..." I started.
When I got no reply I looked over at sting. He seemed sad. I laid my hand on his shoulder but he flinched and moved away.
"Sting-"
"I have to go" he cut in. And, he left. What happened?... I'm sorry sting.

Hey guys! I'm sorry I didn't update Tuesday like I said... I worked really hard to make a good chapter for you guys but it deleted! 😭😭😭
So I tried my best to write another chapter and made it longer than usual. Love you guys!!!
And sorry about the slow updates. I can't decide who she ends up with I mean im pretty sure I know but I'm having doupts...
