Burned

chapter ten: Broken

Before this update starts I want to warn you that the real plot of the story begins now.The twins and Lena's grandfather are a BIG part of the story and things are not as they seem. Anyways guys I hope you enjoy this update! Leave a like and a comment and as always thank you all for reading !

Liam(Pov)
I was heading back to the hotel where I'd left Lena,hoping I could trace her scent,and in the middle of my quiet and anxious drive,I felt it.

Devastation.Grief.Anger.
Hatred.All these feelings began overwhelming me immediately.It was if I'd been punched in the chest.

I couldn't save her..my mother...
It was Lena's devastated thoughts that were overflowing my head.

Lena?what are you talking about ? I breathed out in confusion.

Silence again.Im not close enough to her for the communication to be efficient.A deep fear pooled in my stomach.Was her mother really dead?There's no way that's true..Did she really let herself die?

Lena(POV)
I couldn't move.More because I was numb all over.I had never watched anything so violent happen in front of me in my entire life,and I had no clue that it would be something as awful as my mother's horrendous death.

I simply stared in shock as my grandfather gave me a look of contentment.As if he finally finished a book he'd been reading.

Small little sounds were escaping my chest.I just couldn't comprehend how to breath normally.

Finally,I exploded.

"NO!!!"I screamed an almost blood curdling scream at him.My whole vision burning a bright red and then I fell to the ground.

Heart wrenching sobs were escaping my lips,and I hadn't realized the twins had let go of me,and walked over to the man who had just viciously murdered my mother.

I watched as he shook his hand,covered with my mother's blood,and wiped it on his pants.

"You fucking snake.You MONSTER.Im going to fucking kill you!"I screamed at him.

He laughed at me,the threat not affecting him what so ever.
"Lena,you do know your mother's fate was to die,the second she was born,i knew she'd die.I had no clue I'd kill her,but this was our fate."he said matter of factly.

"What are you talking about!?"I cried out.I was unable to get up.I was mentally broken.

"The twins are the result of a werewolf and a vampire,like you.Their power is a bit complex.They are able to kill anybody just by looking at them if they truly wish to."he said,patting their heads.They both looked up at him with an adoring child like expression.

"They are like you,but unable to communicate.They never speak.They can understand us though.They are my little pets,Emily and Angel."

At the sound of their names,they both smiled at him,as if he was a god.It was sickening.I wanted to crack his fucking skull.

"What the hell do you want with me ?"I asked.
He frowns at me,"What do you mean?"he asks in confusion.

"If you were going to kill me i would be dead."I spat at him.

He chuckled,"You really are angry aren't you?Well don't worry Lena,all that anger will be gone soon."he said.

"What are you talking about?"I asked irritation thick in my tone.The wind began to blow furiously,cold and crisp and my hair continuously whipped into my face,causing my eyes to swell with more tears.

He came closer to me,crouched down and then got directly in my face.

"I'm going to brainwash you like i did to your mother,but I'm going to keep you as my third pet."
I could feel a strange surge coarsing through me.I could feel another emotion,plain confusion,anxiousness...a loneliness I'd felt before..I wanted to smile,because I knew I could call Liam now,but it wasn't time yet,i had to get Jarro away from the twins,and I knew exactly how to do it.I only pray that Liam did not leave me because his own life is on the line.

Instead of taking immediate action,I just glared at him in silence,and just as sudden and fast as I could,I closed my eyes,and pushed with extreme force on his chest.

He stumbled backward momentarily shocked by my attack,and the Twins lunged for me on both sides.I was ready though, and with the fire I'd used earlier,I reinforced it on both hands on their chest burning directly into them,and their shock gave me the chance to force them backwards in opposite directions so they flew out of my path.

As I did this,Jarro was getting to his feet,but I didn't allow him time to think or do anything else about it,I didn't think anymore,I couldn't anymore,this was my shot.

I lunged at him suddenly,and as I did,we fell over the cliff,and I clung to his shirt,making sure he was coming down with me,and we crashed into the roaring ocean.

Liam(POV)
I searched the hotel for any scent of Lena,but there was none,and I knew Jarro had something to do with it.

I was heading back to my car when Lena's scream broke through everything else.

Liam!Please answer me! She screamed.

What?Lena where are you?what's going on?! I answered her immediately.

I felt cold,wet,my chest was beating rapidly and I was getting short if breath.Was this how Lena was feeling?!

An ocean.. somewhere!He killed my mother so I jumped at him and I pulled him into the current with me,but I need you to hurry,because I'm going to drown this fucker and his pet-

She cut off.Then as sudden as she cut off,the silence was replaced with dark images of a cliff,Lenas mother who was lifeless in the ocean,and Lena's enraged expression combined with tears.

Lena hadn't sent that image to me.
Pet...who is his pet?

I thought for a moment,then
It dawned on me.Jarros favorites.The twins.

I figured it out right then.The twins,even though they couldn't communicate with words,they talked amongst
Each other through their brains,and they were trying to kill Jarro,and was using Lena as their accomplice.

Lena was doing the dirty work for them.

It was what Lena's mother had told me before I even sealed her powers away in the first place.

If it wasn't one secret,it was another.

If I could get to Lena fast enough,I could help her save herself.

I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply.I had never teleported so far without knowledge of where I was going but I went off the images that I was shown,and slowly felt myself leaving the parking lot.

So sorry for the update being late. So what do y'all think? The twins are using Lena. Why? you'll find out in the next chapter.Will Liam be able to stop Lena from killing jarro?
I'm excited to keep writing this and just to give you some kind of idea I will give this four days then I'll update again :) love y'all
