Chapter Twelve:Queen

Lena(POV)

The words Liam said went in one ear and out of the other. It didn't register to me what that really meant. Queen? I couldn't be..

I was a half vampire half werewolf for crying out loud.There was no way I could rule them,they can't even accept my kind...

Then I began thinking deeply about what this meant.Maybe it was a chance to change their views on us..

"Well...maybe this is a good thing.."I murmured quietly.

Liam laughed breathlessly and lifted me,and started walking back to where I was being held captive.

"The twins want you dead,and they know the society will try to over throw you."he said bitterly.

He set me on my feet and we entered the dark place I had been in.
He obviously didnt think I could try and change things..but if I could try,id be doing more than my parents could.

As I followed him I tried to change the train of thoughts.
"So where exactly am I?"I asked him.

He stopped and flicked on a set of lights to his right,and then white lights came on almost blinding me.

I could see the chair half burnt from my escape sitting in the middle of a room and to the left and right were all monitors that were all off.

"He was going to draw your blood and create more of your kind to help fight against the werewolves. You were going to be his test subject."he said in a strange voice.

I glanced at him and shivered,the cold air making its way through my body.
He turned around and looked at me with worried eyes,and I could see the anxiety and exhaustion.

Even though Liam had left me by myself..I knew that it was a trick without him having to explain it.

My mother was fooled into telling me my uncle was In danger,so Jarro could split us up and get me alone.

Thinking of my mother brought tears into my eyes.
"You tried to save my uncle didn't you?" I whispered.

His expression fell into a deep sadness and a bit if anger.
"Yes..I left you thinking I was saving you and your family..when all I did was make things worse for you..now your mother is gone and its my fault I wasn't here for you-"

"Stop. Jarro knew what he was doing..I appreciate it and it's not your fault..I got my revenge..and now i need your help with this one thing." I said.

"Anything."he responded automatically without hesitation.He walked up to me and cupped my damp cheek.

"Help me make a difference all this started because of the vampires and werewolves selfish rules and hatred and because my parents love for each other. It's not fair. We have to do something. We can't leave things like this. If I'm the Queen I have to make them respect me,without violence. I need you more than ever... please Liam.. your the only one I'd ever ask."I whispered.

He closed his eyes and went completely silent.

"You kind of have to anyways.. I mean you are the King technically ... right?"I whispered.

His eyes remained closed but he grinned and then he finally opened them.

"Yeah I suppose that's true my Queen..I will help you,I will remain by your side forever."

He moved his hand from my face,grasped my hand and kissed it sweetly.
My heart melted in warmth.

He stood straight,and I leaned in and pecked his lips briefly and he smiled at me with the most eccentric expression I'd ever seen.

"Let's get you dry,and come up with the next move we will make."he said.

I nodded in agreement,and held his hand tightly.

"Okay,but let's see if there's any of my mother's belongings here.I want to keep anything that was hers." Once again thinking of my mother brought tears to my eyes.

I was still in a shock that she was gone after I'd just gotten her back. I knew that this was a sign..that only we could make things right,and given our Fate,i knew that this would end badly...

What Liam didn't know was that I would die before I let anything happen to him without a hesitant heartbeat.

"Alright let's head deeper in here and fully survey this area.Then we'll rest up and make a plan cause once we get to where we are going I don't think it will be a friendly welcome."

He was right, and I knew that this would be harder than anything I've ever done in my entire life,but I would try my hardest to change fate and earn justice.
