phan oneshots (book two)

Bad day

"Dan?" Phil asks. his best friend is waiting on the doorstep with tears in his eyes and.. he looks so sad.

"hi," he just says hugging him.

"what's wrong?" Phil asks again, rubbing his back. he shakes his head and when Phil tries to get off the hug Dan holds him stronger, so the older boy giggles. "tell me what's wrong."

"bad day."

"I noticed," he answers closing the door.

"are your parents home?" Dan whispers with his head still placed on Phil's chest.

"yes, but they're in the living room so we can go in the bedroom," Phil says. "I'll tell them that you came here, I don't want them to see you like this."

"can I stay the night?"

"did you fight with your parents again?"

"kinda."

"okay, you can stay," Phil says and Dan smiles starting to go in the room. after telling his parents that Dan sleeps there Phil goes there too. "hey."

Phil lies on the bed and watches at him. "will you tell me what happened?"

Dan shakes his head.

"are you hungry? thirsty?"

"I'm okay."

"you don't look okay," Phil sobs and watches at the ceiling.

"my stomach hurts," Dan says.

"I know."

"what?"

"it always hurts when you fight with someone, right?" Phil smiles.

"you know me so well," Dan finally smiles too. "come here."

Phil rolls his eyes and hugs him again. "thank you."

"anytime."

"I want to go away from that house," Dan sobs biting his lip. "I feel unsafe."

"if it can help, you can come here," Phil proposes.

"you don't have to do this."

"you're my best friend."

"I know."

"I'll put on Grey's Anatomy and I'll make popcorn," Phil says getting up, starting to prepare all the things. Dan nods and holds the pillow. "I don't like seeing you like this."

"Neither do I."

"what can cheer you up?"

"cuddling with you, Grey's Anatomy is okay, maybe some food," Dan smiles.

"I'll be back in some minutes," Phil says going downstairs.

"here I am," Phil says handing Dan the popcorn, pushing play and hugging him. "okay?"

"okay, thank you."

"it's okay."

"okay."

"okay."

"Phil..?"

"what?"

"doesn't it bother you?"

"what are you talking about?"

"staying like this even if you know that I'm gay."

"why should it bother me?" he giggles and eats some popcorn. "I know you since when we were children."

"you're right," Dan smiles. "my stepfather said that if I don't stop with this gay phase he will kick me out of the house."

"he can't do it, what does your mum think about?"

"you know that she has to agree with what he says, of course she said the same."

"if they'll kick you out you'll come and live here, I swear."

Dan smiles. "what could I do without you?"

"you would life a sad life," Phil jokes.

"it's true."

after watching some episodes it's like midnight and as they have to go to school tomorrow they decide to sleep. Dan knows that Phil needs to stay alone when he sleeps but he feels so lonely that he would just hug him and fall asleep like that.

"hey, are you awake?" he asks. Phil mumbles something as answer. "can you hug me?"

Phil giggles and turns by his side putting an arm around his waist. "is this okay?" he asks.

"thank you," Dan whispers.

"sleep now."
