Ri's POV

I woke up, dragged myself to the closet, and got dressed in a long, flowing sun dress.  I brushed out my hair, so that it was smooth to the touch.  I took my purse, put my wand in it, in case of an emergency.  I double checked my back, to make sure my turquoise fairy wings weren't showing on my back.  I tiptoed down the stairs, to make sure not to wake any of my family members, but I gave up halfway.  I decided I would be helpful, so I made scrambled eggs for my sister, Chloe, and my mom.  My dad was on a business trip for work, so he wasn't home.  Once I finished eating my breakfast, I silently opened and closed the front door.  Once I was on the front porch, I started running.

I sprinted to the park, after passing lots of people who were all walking their dogs for some reason, even though it was like, 5 in the morning.  While I was sprinting to the park, one of the girls I passed looked oddly familiar.  While I was thinking how familiar she was, I ran straight into the big willow tree at the entrance to the park.

"Not again!!!" I said out loud.

"This happens to you often?"  The girl I saw earlier said.

"Have we met before?"

"I think we have actually..." The strange, brown haired girl said, "What's your name again?"

"Ummmm.... My name is Ri," I said, still trying to figure out who she was.

"RI!!!!!! It's me! Riley!!!!"  She squealed.

"R-Riley? Riley, y-you mean RILEY Riley!??"  I said, my hopes rising.

"Well I think so..." Riley said to me, in a sarcastic tone.

Riley and I kept talking under that tree, when I realized something...

"OH!!! Look at the time! I should probably go into the park...  My umm m-mom yeah MOM needed me to uh do something there...."  I tried to make an excuse.

"Oh! Okay! I'll see you later then!" Riley cheerily replied to me.

I felt guilty for lying to Riley, but I knew that if she or anyone else found out my secret. they would never look at me as though I were the same as them.  Just a normal girl...  I walked cautiously into the park, looked around to make sure that nobody was watching, and let my magic take over.  I calmed myself down, and thought of flying to the top of the trees, and I felt myself rising slowly.  I opened my eyes, and twisted my head around to look at my back.  Sparkling, turquoise wings flapped slowly to lift me up, off the ground.  I looked up and realized I was floating too far above the ground, so I dropped lower to the ground, so that I could fly freely and stretch my wings.

[TIMESKIP]

My wings were becoming sore, so I decided to magic them away for the rest of the month.  I pulled out my wand after I safely reached the ground, and with a POOF of dust, my wings were gone.  I neatly tucked my wand back into my purse  to make sure you wouldn't be able to see it.  I strolled out of the park and tried to act as normal as possible, and when I finally reached my house again, I felt relieved.  I kicked off my shoes, and ran upstairs before my mom could tell me to pick them up.  I then started playing some computer games on my lilac purple laptop, and fell asleep again, even though it was 8:42 am.
