Riley's POV
I heard my scream fade into nothingness. I opened my eyes, and looked around. Where was I?
"Hello?" I softly said.
I jolted upright when the room lit up and I saw different glass cages. It was like a zoo, but instead of animals.... There were guardians. I saw Obsidian sitting on the ground behind her glass wall. Sasha was standing up, banging her head on the wall. I saw a faint red glow across the hall. It was a soul shard. But which one? There were three right? Each of the three guardians had one. Obsidian, Sasha... GALAXY. I looked around, but saw nobody in the last three cages. I stood up to investigate, but the second I did, a bunch of darkness minions appeared and grabbed me, shoving me into a glass cage like the rest of them. But where was Galaxy? She was in trouble and that's why we went to the hill in the first place. She couldn't have been captured, or she'd be here with the rest of us.
"AAH!!" I yelped when I heard a glass shatter.
Sasha broke the glass.... With what appears to be her head. I looked around, expecting for more darkness minions to swarm around her, but nobody came.
"Sasha?" I looked over to her and was genuinely concerned. She broke glass with her head! She must be hurt in SOME way.
Sasha just looked back at me, and threw a potion at herself. She came running at me, and just punched through the wall!?
"Where's Galaxy?" I asked.
"We don't quite know... But we think we have a lead on where she is."
I looked over, and saw that Obsidian's glass was broken as well, and she was looking at the soul shard.
"Is that the first soul shard?"
"Might be. Also might be a trap." Obsidian said, still focused on the soul shard.
"Lets go." Sasha grabbed my arm as well as Obsidian's.
"Wait...." I said, ripping my arm from her grasp, "What about Arianna? She's still in that room."
Sasha shook her head, "We think.... Well...."
"We think she's probably dead." Obsidian blurted out.
I went to look at the soul shard. Was she really dead? She couldn't be. I looked down at my necklace. Half red, half blue. Half ruby, half diamond. Half demon... Half angel.
"OW!" I jolted my hand from my necklace when it started to burn up.
I looked at the necklace more, watching as the diamond part of the necklace started to burn off. Was she really... dying?
"Guys." I ran over to Sasha and Obsidian, showing her the diamond that was burning off.
They just looked confused. I explained how the necklace forged together when we were there together. When we put part of ourselves on the rock. How these necklaces literally show if we are in trouble or not.
"Whatever this means... We have to go back to save Ri."
