Riley's POV
"How do we get back to that room?" I asked, seriously freaking out at this point.
"I'm sorry, but we can't go back. It's too dangerous." Sasha said to me.
"Are you SERIOUS!? Ri is one of us." I replied, heated with anger.
"I'm sorry, Sasha's right..." Obsidian said.
"Why are we saving Galaxy then?"
"She was captured, and it is our quest." Obsidian said.
"She's also our FRIEND! And Ri's dying! Dying is SO MUCH WORSE!"
I ran to the soul shard, and grabbed it. I stopped for a moment at looked back at Sasha and Obsidian. I shook my head and ran to the place I came from. A portal opened in front of me. I turned back at Sasha and Obsidian who were confused.
"NOW YOUR FRIENDS HAVE BEEN CAPTURED AND HAVE A SOUL SHARD!!!" I took a step closer to the portal.
I watched as Obsidian looked at Sasha, and then ran to me. She took something from her pocket and placed it in my hand. It was a shard. Not a soul shard, but it looked similar. It was black and had some sort of skull on it. I didn't know what it was or what it did, but I hugged Obsidian, then jumped into the portal.
I felt fierce winds blowing my hair around when I appeared back in the room. It was dark where I was, like I was in a dark corner. I looked around, and this didn't look like the same room it was before. The walls and ceiling were now black, but the floor was white. It was also massive, like there was no end. I turned around to see the portal slowly closing. I wondered if Sasha or Obsidian would come. I really lost my temper back there.... The wind was blowing harder. I kept looking at the portal, but my hair was all up in my face and eyes. The portal was now the size of my head, still slowly shrinking. They weren't coming.... I slowly started to walk away from the portal, all my hope gone.
"RILEY!" I heard a scream.
I jolted back, and saw an arm coming through the portal. I ran back and grabbed it, trying so hard to pull them out. It was Sasha! As she emerged from the portal, she was holding onto someone else's hand. It was Obsidian! I hugged them both.
"I really started to think you weren't coming." I said.
"Well, we are friends aren't we?" Sasha said, smiling at me.
"I'm sorry we doubted you at first," Obsidian said.
"Well, you came through in the end. That's all that matters," I smiled, I really did change their minds.
"We have a guardian to save." Sasha looked around, squinting her eyes, trying to make out any shapes or figures.
I did the same, but we saw nothing for miles.
"Come on!" I started running , and as I looked over my shoulder, I saw Sasha and Obsidian right behind me.
