Episode 20: A last stand

Kuyo: You made the wise decision Rane.
Kuyo waved his hand signaling his men to move. As they did they began pulling the room apart. The walls and the ceiling came apart easily as if they were made only mere moment ago and when they were finished Rane saw his friends in front of him and beside him, merely a few feet away.
Rane: They were right here, the entire time they were here. This place wasn't even real.
Kuyo: Yes, you are correct and now Rane for infiltrating Yokai Academy as a human being I hear by sentence you to death.
Rane didn't know how to react. Even as he looked at Moka and the others he was completely and utterly speechless and he remained that way as we was dragged with the student council.
Kuyo: The rest of you will face punishment on later dates. We need to prepare for tomorrow's execution. Release them.
Kuyo's men untied the rope and chains that bound them but they could still barely move from the torture. Not a single one of them was able to stand as they all disappeared from Rane's view. It took almost two hours before they could muster the strength to move again. With nothing else to do they decided to meet in Moka's room to hopefully discuss a plan. However as they arrived there was an announcement over the radio from Kuyo himself.
Kuyo: Students of Yokai Academy, it is with great sorrow that I must tell you that Yokai Academy was infected by a human. Luckily he was apprehended today and there will be a public execution tomorrow. All are welcome to attend the Execution of former student, Rane Kazuki.
Moka ran into her room and fell face first into her bed and began crying. The others sat on the floor behind her with depressed expressions, tears in their eyes and the scars of their torture.
Moka: What are we going to do?
Kurumu: What can we do?
Mizore: Even with a day to prepare I don't think I have what it takes to fight.
Yukari: That must've been part of his plan too. Take away our ability to intervene and no one can stop him.
Rubi: We were outmatched at every angle and now Rane is going to suffer.
Moka: I can still fight them.
Kurumu: You're other half can still fight them and you need Rane to take the rosary off.
Moka: You're right, but I think I have a plan. I'll just need a little bit of help from you guys.
Mizore: We're listening.
The next morning the ceremony began. The entire school gathered in the courtyard to witness the public execution of the human Rane. They crowded around the man as he was hung with his arms and legs strapped on a golden cross. As Rane looked at the faces of the students he saw mixed reactions, most were faces of anger, some were fear and as he looked at those who had seen his rider form before he saw confusion. Maybe they were confused as to why Rane didn't just change and wreak havoc and when Rane pondered that question the images of his friends going through torture returned into his head. He picked a fight with the council, he rebelled at every possible opportunity and they paid the price so in Rane's eyes, maybe they'd be better off if he died. But just knowing that they would be on after this made Rane smile and as Kuyo stood beside him he showed how annoyed he was.
Kuyo: You never cease to suprise me. Smiling at your own exectution.
Rane: Did you expect me to beg, scream and cry?
Kuyo: I expected you to suffer but that will come soon.
Rane: Go ahead, you got me but my friends you have no excuse to put a hand on them.
Kuyo: So that's why you show no fear? You think your friends are safe?
Rane: Actually I do.
Kuyo: Foolish, they'll be joining you soon enough.
Rane: What?
As the time for the execution arrived Kuyo had his sword drawn.
Kuyo: Those friends of yours will be executed on the grounds of hiding a human and betraying all monsters. They're all gonna die and it's all because you came to Yokai Academy.
Rane: I don't know what makes you more stupid, telling me you're gonna kill my friends or doing it when you know I'll turn when I'm enraged.
Kuyo: I had these chains enchanted with a special stone to keep your form inside.
Rane:Oh, guess I shouldn't have thought you would've made a dumb mistake like that.
As Rane looked among the crowd where his exectution was about to take place he noticed a student with a similar figure to someone he knew but she wore a hoodie that was unzipped and the hood covered her face and hair but as Rane looked closer he managed to make out a pink strand.
Rane: You know, there is one mistake you made Kuyo.
Kuyo: Oh really? Would you be so kind as to educate me?
Rane: Nope just kill me and get this over with.
As Rane kept Kuyo talking the figure weaved in between the students making its way closer to the cross.
Kuyo: You're just rambling on to prolong your fate, aren't you?
Rane: Maybe I am and maybe I'm not.
Their conversation was interrupted by a loud scream in the crowd. As Rane and Kuyo looked a random student was knocked next to a golden pan and all eyes were on her now.
Kuyo: What is going on here?
Rane: I really don't know.
Rane didn't know anymore because the figure he was following had disappeared. In truth she was right beneath him, waiting for something. Soon another event pulled the attention of everyone in the crowd away from the execution and it was more wide-spread than the last. You could hear most of the girls in the crowd screaming things like "Someone touched my boobs," or "Someone groped my butt!" With women being inappropriately touched the only people to blame were the men but Rane could see what was below them and he saw vines scattered along the grounds. The other students were oblivious and instead a brawl began between the students. The student council, and faculty members entered the fray to try and get things under control but that left the base of the cross wide open and below stood two students with hoodies on to hide their faces.
Mizore: We only have one shot
Moka: I know and I'll make it count.
As the attention was no longer even on the exectution Mizore backed away from Moka before she summoned an ice pillar that shot her up past Kuyo and to Rane where she threw off the hood and wrapped her arms around him tightly.
Moka: You know what to do.
Moka pushed her breast up against Rane's face where the Rosary was and as Kuyo was stunned trying to comprehend everything that was happening Rane bit the rosary and pulled it off releasing Moka's true vampire form.
Moka: Good boy, now let's get you out of here.
She ripped the metal bands that held Rane to the cross and with her amazing agility she leaped up to the top of the school with Rane in her hands. They landed safely and Rane couldn't have been more happy.
Rane: Nice rescue
Moka: Thanks, the girls couldn't do much with the damage done but this was enough to get you out.
Rane: So what now?
Moka: I guess the plan is for us to get......RANE, LOOK OUT!!!
Moka tried to reach Rane before it was too late but she couldn't see it sooner. She watched as a ball of fire crashed into Rane's back, she watched as he fell to the ground and she saw the creature that did it, a fox surrounded by flames.
Fox: You thought you could escape?
Moka: That voice? You're that shitty student council president.
Kuyo: Correct and I applaud your efforts but it is overall pointless. He dies tod-
It's been made pretty clear that Moka didn't like to chat that long with the enemy so to cut Kuyo off she dashed in with rapid speed and drove her kneecap directly into Kuyo's fox face driving him off the roof and sending him plummeting into the ground below. Moka couldn't take time to celebrate, Rane was going and fast. She ran to his side and turned him over. She checked his eye for movement, nothing. She checked his pulse, nothing, and he was losing blood from the burn mark in his back. He needed a way of healing and Moka could only think of one thing.
Moka: Well this is the first time you've been bit since when you first got here Rane.
Moka held him close and she bit down into Rane's neck and began injecting him with her vampire blood. There was no change in Rane's condition so she kept pouring more in even as she heard an explosion occur behind her. A massive column of blue fire erupted from behind them and a figure burst through that column and landed on the roof behind Moka.
Kuyo: I have to admit that hurt a lot!!!
It was Kuyo who returned with no clothes (sadly) and was surrounded by blue flames, his skin pale white and his four tails still flowed in the wind. Moka payed him no attention since Rane's life was still in danger. Also with giving up so much of her blood she could feel herself getting weaker.
Kuyo: Oh, are you trying to save the poor fool? Don't push your luck, he's gone. You're simply wasting your energy.
So much blood had Moka given him and still no change. Eventually Moka stopped and let Rane's body lie flat on the ground.
Moka: I'm gonna make you pay you bastard!
She ran towards Kuyo but with very little speed compared to her usual amount. As she got close enough she tried to kick Kuyo in the side of his head but Kuyo stopped it with one hand.
Moka: What?
Kuyo: It appears you gave him too much of your blood.
Without even trying Kuyo pulled Moka in closer and punched her in the stomach. She fell to the ground gasping for air and coughing up some blood.
Kuyo: This is what you get for trying to save a dead man. Now you will join him.
Kuyo raised his hand and blue fire began to swirl around it. It soon condensed into an orb but with as much power that was in it Moka new that if it hit it would be the end of her. But she was too weak to dodge it now. She could do absolutely nothing to prevent what was going to happen next so all she did was clothes her eyes. She closed her eyes and waited for the end and she heard the explosion of the orb but she didn't feel it. She opened her eyes again to see why she still lived and what she saw was shocking. Her jaw dropped as she gazed at a man wrapped in fire, leather and a steal chain. Kuyo was staring with a look of disbelief and fear.
Kuyo: How is this possible?
Ghost Rider: You miss me?
Moka: You're alive.
Ghost Rider: I am, thanks Moka.
Moka: Wait, you used my name?!!
The rider turned to Moka, walking over and helping her off the ground.
Ghost rider: What kind of friend would I be if I didn't remember your name?
Moka: Rane, are you in control?
Ghost Rider: Bingo
Kuyo: How is that possible and how is it possible that you live.
The rider turned again to face Kuyo.
Ghost Rider: Me living was probably a delayed reaction to the blood but me being in control, let's just say that you made me so angry Kuyo, that I needed to beat the life out of you with my own to hands! And I'm going to savor this moment.
Moka: I'll just back away while I get my strength back.
Ghost Rider: Good idea.
Kuyo: You will not make a fool out of me!!!
Kuyo, in his own fit of rage, encased his body in his blue fire and dashed toward the Ghost rider and the rider's response was to summon his bike and face him head on as he himself was engulfed in flames. As the two collided it cause a massive explosion that everyone in the school could see. The force pushed both of them back but they were still standing
Ghost Rider: Threaten me all you want but you were gonna take the lives of friends! I'll never forgive you!
Kuyo: You're word mean nothing.
Kuyo's four tails poked up behind him and at the tip sprouted four fireballs. Soon Kuyo began flinging them at the rider and the reload was rapid. The rider ran off to the side to dodge Kuyo's barrage. He dragged his chain behind him leaving a small trail of flames that seconds later erupted into a firewall. The wall absorb anymore of Kuyo's fireballs.
Ghost Rider: I think it's my turn now!
The rider roared and from his wall of flames, fire clones emerged all riding their own fire bikes toward Kuyo. Kuyo jumped to avoid them and threw one massive fireball to blow them all away. However using Kuyo's flame as cover the rider swung his chain and wrapped it around Kuyo's neck. After that he pulled hard and Kuyo came plummeting down into the concrete but the rider wasn't done there. He pulled again on his chain forcing Kuyo to fly towards him and when Kuyo got close the rider drove his fist into the center of Kuyo's face sending him rolling back along the ground. As Kuyo stood up his nose was bleeding and it looked pretty broken but he still looked furious. The rider summoned a second chain and swung it towards Kuyo again but this time Kuyo caught it with his tail and pulled the rider in. Once close enough Kuyo tried to hit the rider with a barrage of flaming strikes from his tails and the rider delivered his own with his two chains. Some attacks hit, others were blocked bet when the fight is two against four eventually the four would win. When the time was right Kuyo managed to use two of his tails to catch the rider's arms and his remaining tails slashed an X into the rider's chest. The rider grunted in pain but quickly pulled on Kuyo's tails forcing him closer for a head butt. It would've knocked Kuyo back but the rider didn't let go, instead he pulled Kuyo in for another head butt and another. Kuyo was stunned and off balance so the rider released his tails and wrapped his chain around his legs pushing him down. As he struggled to move the rider summoned his motorcycle strapping the chain to the rear. He then drove off dragging Kuyo behind him along the school roof and his direction was taking him right off the edge. As the rider shot off his bike disappeared and he took hold of the chain that held Kuyo together. As they floated through the air, Kuyo wondering what was gonna happen next, the rider swung his chain and Kuyo along with it. He did flips in the air getting faster and faster and to make it worst for Kuyo the chain was lit and fire traveled to the end. Soon the rider was flipping so fast that he and Kuyo looked like a spinning disk of flames and that disk was falling to the ground. Kuyo was screaming as they came closer and the rider, with a triumphant roar, smashed him into the ground. The ground beneath him cracked under the force and to finish Kuyo off the rider swung his chains into the ground and pulled himself down at rapid speed. He encased his body in fire and rammed himself straight into Kuyo's stomach and a column of flames erupted from impact. As the dust settled Kuyo was unconscious and bleeding from the mouth and the rider stood victorious.
Ghost Rider: Not even a challenge.
The site of the crash brought the entire student body over to see what happened. As the rider looked at all of them he picked Kuyo's unconscious body up by his head and held him to show his power.
Ghost Rider: COULD A HUMAN DO THIS TO YOUR STUDENT COUNCIL?!! I WANT YOU ALL TO REMEMBER HIM WHEN YOU EVER SUSPECT ME OF BEING A HUMAN. MY NAME IS RANE KAZUKI, AND I AM THE GHOST RIDER!!!!!
With his statement made he dropped the body and walked away still in his monster form because there was one more thing he wanted to settle. He returned to the roof and Moka was waiting there for him still with her white hair.
Moka: Looks like you made a statement. I saw it from here.
Ghost Rider: I had to. How are you feeling?
Moka: Back to a hundred percent. I could've taken him if I just had some time.
Ghost Rider: I know but in all honesty I should thank him.
Moka: Because he's the reason you're in control now.
Ghost Rider: Yep.
Moka: I guess you're enjoying it because you're still in it.
Ghost Rider: I'm still in it for a reason.
Moka: And what would that be?
Ghost Rider: Well since you said you were at a hundred percent....
The rider walked toward Moka who didn't really know what he had planned. They stood face to face and the rider place his hand on the side of her head. He gently caressed her and Moka tilted her head enjoying the feeling and she smiled. Then the rider grabbed her by her hair and drove his fist into her face sending her flying off the roof and crashing to the ground. As Moka lied flat on her back she grumbled.
Moka: Right I did say we'd fight.
