More thoughts were running in my head. With a sigh, I close my laptop. Sooner or later, we'll figure out what to do. But as long as the world believes Nate is dead, I'm sure we'll be safe.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Nate's head snapped up from where it was resting. A look of fear glowed in his eyes.

"Nate, what's--" I was cut off by a loud crash, followed by glass breaking. Someone is here.

"They're here.." He muttered quietly.

"What??" I ask as he stood up.

"We can't stay here. Quickly grab as much as you need." He said.

"Wait why?" I ask, picking up Skip.

He looked at me for a moment. "We're not coming back here." A loud bang followed with what he said.

I handed Skip to Nate, who only stared at the cat in confusion. Following Nate's orders, I quickly grab what I need. Laptop, sweaters, phone. As soon as I grabbed the last thing, I heard something explode.

"Uhm, Matthew! You might wanna hurry!" I hear Nate yell from the living room. Freezing on the spot, I sniff the air... Fire.

Running out to where Nate is, I grab the last of my things, quickly leaving the house. Looking behind me, I see my house go up in flames.

"That is a fire," I hear Nate mutterer to himself. I piled everything in Nate's car, then got into the passenger seat. He then handed me Skip, starting the ignition. He only backed the car out of my driveway, pulling into someone else's driveway for a moment.

"You sure you got everything, Matt?" he asked me.

"Yeah, why?" I ask him.

He glanced over to my house. The bright light of the fire reflected off the dark shade of his eyes. "... You may wanna look away, and duck..." Nate whispered quietly, lowering himself down in his seat.

"Wait, Wh--" I didn't even finish my sentence before my house in front of me completely exploded. I ducked under the dashboard, pulling my cat down with me.

After what seemed like 3 minutes, I watched Nate, look back up, looking at the remains of my house. I sit up looking at it. There's barely anything left. The only thing that lives there now.. is fire.

"Nate?" I start quietly.

"They planned this.." He whispered, shifting the car into drive, slowly driving down my street, away from my house.

"I mean," Nate started emotionless. "At least the evidence that we were there are gone."

"As long as they think you're dead, we're safe." I add, as he took a right into town.

"So, where too now?" I ask quietly.

"The only place we can go.." He answered.

"... Which is..."

"My house."

"But a lot of people know you there. They'll blow your 'dead' cover." I say.

"Ya, that's why we're stopping at a store first." he said.

"Uh. Why?"

"The people there recognize me as Nate Smith, yes. But they won't recognize me... Cuz I have a plan." He claimed.

"Oh. Well, I can't wait to see this one."
