CHAPTER 4: WASN'T AS EASY

The ship was closing in on us, the bracelets on Shekras arms grew and formed around her hands till they became her gauntlets. She stepped in front of me "get out of here baby, I don't want you getting hurt" she said as that unsettling smile grew on her face "no way I want to help" I said as I struggled raising my blade. She turned to me, I jumped back a little, her smile was so unnerving and her eye was twitching. "Are you sure you'd be able conduct yourself?" she yelled, whats her problem, it was like everytime the kurt was around she lost it. "Umm yes how hard it could be" I answered, Shekra laughed, and laughed, and wouldn't stop laughing, im starting to wonder if I was safe by her. "Zack get away from her!" Steve yelled, he didn't have to tell me twice.

I jogged to where Steve was "whats her problem?" I asked when I got to him, he just sighed "its complicated, but stay away from her when shes like that". Steve than took out a small black rod. It suddenly became a large staff with blue tips, how come he gets a staff and I get this heavy sword. "So how long will the ship take to get here?" I asked, my question was answered when a large explosion erupted from in front of me. I flew into the air and hit the ground with a CRACK! falling on my back. I was burnt a little but not to much. The ship flew over me, it looked small from where I was laying, but something had just fallen from it. It was coming towards me, and getting bigger, when I realized what was happening I rolled nearly being squashed by whatever fell from the ship. It hit the ground destroying everything and making a creator. I got to my feet with the sword still in my hand.

When I looked to what had fallen it nearly took my breathe away, it was one of those Kurt soldiers on the ship but this one was eight feet tall, with a muscular frame, and a very very very big cannon for a left hand. It looked me and pointed its cannon at me, I didn't have no military training but for some reason I knew what to do. Before it fired I jumped literally eight feet into the air, I felt powerful, the sword felt natural in my hand. I swung it at the Kurts head and it ducked to doge it, I scarped the top of its helmet. I landed on my feet behind it. Nows my chance, I turned back and jumped at it again, but it suspected that and before I knew it the large Kurt swung its massive arm at me. It swatted me out the air like a fly and I flew to the side crashing right thourgh a boulder. And dragged across the dirt.

I rushed back up onto my feet amazed by the fact I wasn't injured, but as soon as I got up a large ball of heat hit me right in the middle of my chest. The heat wrapped around my body like water from a hose. The force of it sent me airborne, I flew into the air expecting to meet the ground soon. But when I looked to my right the Kurt ship was flying at me. Suddenly I was hit by another flaming ball that was shot from the ship, I flew left and upon landing that eight foot giant was waiting for me. Again it swatted out the air into another boulder. I crashed into the boulder and fell to the ground on my face, my sword dropped out of my hand. I got onto my hands and kness and coughed up blood, pain ran thourgh my whole body. I was barely able to stand, my body was shaking, turns out this wasn't as easy as I thought.

The overgrown Kurt stepped in front of me, I looked up to see it was pointing its cannon at me. I wasn't going to be able to take another blast, where the heck is everyone else? Than the cannon fired and a ball of fire connected with my face. I flew back thourgh the boulder behind me and my body was dragged back thourgh the dirt from the momentum. I laid there on my back choking on my own blood, my head turned to its left to see that my sword was lieing by me. It must've fell there when I got shot in the face, but it was to late to use it. I closed my eyes knowing they may never open again, I heard the giants foot steps as it walked away from my corpse. This was it, this is how I die.

Suddenly my head started to hurt, images flashed thourgh my head, I seen my home town destroyed, my house destoyed. I opened my eyes, anger flooded me, I grabbed my sword and jumped back onto my feet. The giant was walking away from me with its back turned. I gritted my teeth and clenched my fist on my weapon "WHERE DO YOU THINK YOUR GOING!!" I screamed. The giant stopped and turned to me "IM NOT DONE YET, FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED!!". I had no idea where all this anger came from but it felt good. The Kurt aimed its cannon at me, I stood still ready for what he had to dish out, he fired. I seen the fireball come at me but I ran too it, when it got close enough I swung my sword at it.

It sliced right in two and went in to different directions totally missing me. I was heading for the giant now, it shot another blast but I dodge it, I was almost near it. It shot again but I cut it with my sword spliting it in half. Gotcha, I thrust my sword forward into its chest. My sword was stuck into it and the giant started to scream, suddenly my sword started to heat up and steam was coming from its hilt. The giant was jumping up and down trying to shake me off. With all my strength I pushed the sword in deeper, suddenly a bright light came from my sword. A beam of light shot out of my sword firing the giant into the air. Once he reached the clouds he blew up like a bomb, the shock of the explosion had hit me and everything around me. The ground shook and the clouds parted.

When the explosion finally vanished there was no sighn of the giant, he was disintegrated. I stood there for awhile feeling powerful and a lot less angry, that was amazing but wheres everyone else. I looked at where the pod had crashed and seen that all three of them were battling another giant. A smile grew on my face, killing that last giant made me feel powerful. Lets see what else I can do.
