CHAPTER 13: THE PLAN FAILS

I woke the next day feeling terrified, I had the same bad dream again, it was like watching a horror film twice but the fear was still there. I looked to my right to see Shekra lieing next to me deep in thought. "Are you okay?" I asked, she snapped out of her trance and looked at me. "Yeah I was just worried about-" suddenly the ship shook violently and the sounds of screaming came from outside our door. I jumped out of the bed and grabbed my overcoat. Shekra followed behind me as she converted her bracelets into her gauntlets. I opened the door and rushed out only to be met by three Kurt soldiers aiming their weapons at me. They started to fire small balls of fire at me and I wasn't fast enough to react.

But luckily the balls of fire blew up into small puffs of smoke before they could hit me, Shekra had produced a shield in front of me. I turned to see her gauntlets were glowing and her arms were raised up. "Thanks" I said, she smiled but it wasn't that innocent smile she usually had, it was that psycho one. I turned back to my enemies and took my knife out of my pocket, converting it into a sword. I held it up ready to attack, the fire balls coming from the Kurts weapons ran out and they were rushing to reload. As soon as that happened Shekras shield disappeared and I rushed at them. I went straight for the one in the middle and flung my sword down over his head.

The sword sliced thourgh him cutting him in half, Shekra ran up on the one to my right and punched her fist into its chest. The Kurt soldier flew back breaking thourgh the wall behind it. The other Kurt to my left tried to run off, but he wasn't fast enough, my sword started to glow again and I slashed at the air towards it. A ray of blue light jumped off my weapon hitting the solider and burning his back armor. He was dead before he even hit the floor. The three were all down but there were still explosions going on around the ship. "Looks like were under attack" Shekra giggled, suddenly fear filled me, "oh no Amanda is on the ship!" I yelled as I ran to her room.

"What? I thought we left her behind?" Shekra said as she followed behind me, "no she snuck in thourgh the cargo, I seen her last night" I explained. We made it to her room but it was to late. Her room door was blown apart, I ran into her room to see the place ransacked but she wasn't there. "NOOO!" I yelled, Shekra looked around the room, "she still might be on the ship" she suggested. Than we heard her scream from the kitchen, me and Shekra made our over there as fast as we could. When we arrived Amanda had a large knife in her hand as she took on two Kurt soldiers. Martin was there too fighting his own battle against three others.

One of the soldiers attacking Amanda ran up on her, I jumped up stabbing the Kurt in the side. Shekra shot a force field at the other one, he flew to the side braking into the oven. I took my sword out of the wounded solider and turned to Amanda, "are you okay?" I asked. "Yeah im fine, how'd the Kurt get here?" she asked, "I don't know but we gotta find the captain" I said. I turned to Martin who was fighting his last opponent, it would've took awhile if Shekra didn't step in bringing her fist down onto its head crushing him. "Thanks Shekra" he said, I approached both of them "guys we have to find the captain and figure out whats going on" I commanded. "He should be in the control room" Martin said. "Okay good lets get there" Shekra said as she ran out the kitchen, than a loud smack was heard from outside and Shekra came flying back in, her back hit the floor breaking the tile.

Me Martin and Amanda stood our ground as a Kurt solider came walking in, but this one was different. He carried a one sided sword with a barbed blade in his belt and his armor was bright blue. "Your not going anywhere" he threatened Shekra, his voice was deep and horse. Shekras expression became sinister, she got up in a flash and threw a punch at the blue solider. But he caught her fist stopping her attack, "my name is captain davis, and im here to kill the one named Zack mason" he explained. Great, now I have to deal with this guy, but to be honest this is the most interesting morning I've ever experienced.

Shekra threw another punch with her other hand and this time she hit him right on the side of his helmet. But the attack had no affect, "my turn" he said than he punched Shekra in the stomach. She doubled over grabbing her belly, she fell to her kmess and struggled to breath. Anger filled me and I was tempted to charge at him but I contained myself. "Amanda stay out of our way" I told her as I raised my sword up, "don't have to ask me twice" she said as she backed away. "Martin lets attack at the same time okay" I said, Martin looked at me and reached into his pocket. He took out a small weird looking stick. But when it converted to ots true form I noticed that it was a large axe on one side and a hammer on the other.

It was glowing blue and steaming, "yes captain..... I mean Zack" he answered, Davis looked at me. "So you're Zack" he responded than he pulled his sword from his belt, "im here to kill you, we make this easy if you surrender to me" he threatened. I mustered all of the strength I had inside me, than me and Martin charged at him.
