The pod was shuttering like crazy, it felt as if I was rolling down a mountain in a barrel. I couldn't believe what was happing to me, last I remember I was a high school freshmen with good grades and a bad social status. I guess the Kurt didn't get as far as to taking those memorys from me. Right now I was supposed to be in my pajamas sleeping in my soft bed. I looked down at myself and seen that I was wearing an all white jump suit with a large red plus sign on my chest. I wonder what made me want to join the army because that for your family excuse was obviously a lie. Not to seem rude but why join the army to protect my family when the armys already doing it. Even if that was the reason I did it, why go the extra mile by undergoing experiments just to get a little stronger.
An alarm started to blare out of nowhere, "what does that mean?" I asked Steve, he just looked at me and said "we're crash landing, once we hit land the pod is going to break apart". Fear washed over me like a wet blanket, Steve smiled when he seen my expression "its okay captain, this happens all the time, if we were regular soldiers than you should be worried" he laughed. "Umm you know you can call me by my regular name" I responded. "Would you prefer that, Zack?" Martin asked "yes please" I answered. "Well I'll still call you captain, and theres nothing you can do about it baby" Shekra said as she placed her hand on my leg and smiled at me. I noticed that those gauntlets she had were gone.
"Hey what happened to those gauntlets you had on?" I asked, she smiled "see these bracelets on my arms" she said as she pointed out the two blue metal bracelets. I had a hunch what she was going to say next "so those are the gauntlets?" I asked. She smiled and nodded her head "kurt technology is amazing" she said. Wow she was so nice, Shekra didn't even seem like that crazy girl I witnessed in that hall. I wonder how I ended up going out with her. Suddenly the pod started shaking even harder, my teeth started to rattle. Red lights started to flash on and off from the computer, and what I thought was a monitor was now showing a brown rocky land scape that we were speeding towards.
Steve had yelled something about the atmosphere but I couldn't hear him clearly over the blareing of the alarm. We were getting close to the ground faster than I thought we had, we hit the ground with a BOOM!. And the front window shattered, broken glass shards flew everywhere and parts of the ship tore off. The momentum of the crash sent us spiraling back up into the air. We hit the ground a second time and spun into a large boulder where the pod finally came to a halt. I was sitting frozen in my seat as everyone started to laugh. My gosh these people were crazy, than I felt something soft and light in my hand. I looked and seen that it was Shekras hand, I quickly withdrew my hand "are you alright Zack?" Martin asked in between heavy breaths. I looked down at my self and seen that my shirt was ripped from all the glass shards, but other than that I felt fine. "Im fine, but I need new clothing" I replied
"I can help with that baby" Shekra said as she unbuckled herself from her seat, she got up and walked towards the back of the pod. She touched the wall to her right and a square the size of a small chest lit up. Than it opened up and Shekra put her arm in and grabbed some clothing from it. "When the attack started I grabbed your favorite outfit and put it in the storage compartment along with your weapom" she said as she presented my outfit to me. It was some black jeans with a long sleeve black T-shirt along with a black over coat. I unbuckled myself and took my outfit from her, it wasn't really my style but it'll do. "Where's my shoes?" I asked, Shekra than reached back inside the wall and pulled out a pair of hiking boots along with black biker gloves. "Right here captain" she said as she handed them over to me. "Why the gloves?" I asked, "to handle your sword easier" Steve said as he started to check the computer to see if it was damaged.
Wow, I own a sword, not very military if you ask me but for as far as I know anythings a weapon even gauntlets. "Cool where is it?" I asked with excitement, Shekra dug into the compartment again. I bet its a samurai sword, or the ones the knights used back during medieval times. But Shekra pulled out a small little black knife, a freaking knife, Shekra than approached me with a huge smile on her face and presented the disappointment to me. "Your kiddimg right, thats a knife" I complained, Shekra laughed and put it back into the compartment. "Put your clothes on and meet us outside baby, and bring the knife so I can show you how to use it" she said as she opened the door. Her along with Steve and Martin walked out into the desert like terrain. "When your ready just push the button to the left to open the door" Martin said as he walked out. The door closed behind him.
After I finished putting on my outfit I reached into the compartment Shekra left open and took my kmife out. I pushed the button Martin pointed out and opened the door, I stepped out and the brightness of the sun hit me. I squinted my eyes and stepped out onto the sandy land. Martin and Steve were to the left of the pod in their own conversation. Shekra was standing by herself with her back facing the rest of us, at the far right, she was looking out at the sky. I walked up to her with the knife in my hand hoping it was more than just a knife. "Okay you said you'd show how to use my knife when Im ready, so can you show me how it works?" I asked. She turned to me and smiled at the sight of me "its not a knife baby, its a sword" she said as she took it from my hand. "You see this button" she was now pointing at the area where the blade met with the hilt.
I didn't notice this before but there was a small blue circle there, "yeah, I see it" I answered. Shekra than took my hand and put the knife back into my hand, "push it" she said. I grabbed the knife and pushed the button on it, suddenly the knife just grew big.... Like really big. It became a sword half the height of my body, its edges glowed blue and it got heavier. I nearly tipped over but I caught my balance, this wasn't what I had expected. A large two sided colossus, who would go into battle with something this heavy. "Oh gosh this feels like its for a giant slayers not the military" I said, Shekra chuckled "if you want it to be fun size just push the button again" "that wont be necessary" Martins voice came from behind me. I turned to see him pointing at something in the sky. When I looked in the direction he was pointing I seen a large plane like aircraft flying towards us. It had the same design as the armor the monsters wore on the ship.
