"Morning, Ellie!"

"Good morning, dear."

"Nice to see you outside of that room of yours!"

She kept her head straight, giving no smiles and no 'Good Mornings'. She took a few more turns and eventually arrived at her destination. Collins spoke to a group of 16+ year olds who payed no attention to her.

"Ah, there she is. Everybody, this is Ellie Hudson," Dr. Collins introduced. "El, these people are interested in our jobs here. I thought maybe you could make them feel welcomed in our institute. And I was thinking maybe you could show them what we research in this Unit."
She nodded, only because she had to.

Ah, so that's what this is about.

"Put on a show, Zero," she whispered, irritated. They entered the same room she had been tested in every time.

"This is Avery, Brooklyn, Calum, Daniel, and Ethan," the old lady said. "And I am Mrs. Maney, their teacher." Ellie waved and plastered a polite smile on her face.

Collins directed them to the room behind the mirror. It was minutes of silence before Collins spoke over the intercom. "Okay, El, let Zero mess around with a few things in there."

And so Zero left her glowing, knocking down stacks of blocks and turning the cameras on and off.

"I think that's good," Ellie whispered.

I agree.

"Very good. I must go speak with a client very briefly, so you guys can talk. Or don't. I don't care."

He's leaving? That never ends well.

"I know," Ellie whispered.

You'd think he would learn by now. He's not very smart for a doctor.

"Go see what they're doing."

Alright, alright. Bossy.

Giggles filled the room of children. Half just stared blankly at Ellie, fascinated and freaked out by her glowing eyes. The other half messed with their ancient teacher sleeping on the desk. They began to whisper and slowly leave the room.

"Zero, where are they going?"

Why don't you go find out?

"Okay. Fine. I don't need you."

Yes you do-

Ellie unlocked the door and was instantly bombarded by the students grabbing her hair, pulling her arms.

"So how do you do it?" A boy asked.

"I don't see any wires." A girl laughed.

They chuckled at each other's comments and the boys grabbed Ellie's legs. She kicked and squirmed but their tight grasp wouldn't budge.

"Zero!" She gasped before a hand clasped over her mouth.
