Everything went still. Thomas fell to the floor, gasping for breath.
"You're a witch!" Emily yelled. She was red in the face and had tears streaming down her cheeks.
"What's going on down here?" Hank shouted.
"She's a witch! She tried to kill me!" Thomas sobbed.
Megan rushed to Ellie's aid as Hank hustled the remaining kids out of the house. He slammed the door furiously. He trembled with what he pretended was anger but deep down was fear.
"What did you do to those kids!?" He interrogated her, the vein bulging from his forehead.
"Hank, let her explain," Megan said trying to calm him down. She sat Ellie up and brushed her hair from her face.
"Elizabeth, sweetie, did you do that to Thomas?" Her voice trembled.I'm sorry, Ellie.
Ellie stood up. She saw the damage she had done. He had done.
"It was him. It was Zero."
"I'M SICK OF YOUR STORIES YOUNG LADY!" Hank yelled grabbing Ellie by the arm and dragging her up the stairs into her room.
"Hank, she's just a child," Megan defended.
"No, the others are just children. Th-that..." He shook his head.
"...is a monster," he finished.
"They'll take her away , Hank, we'll never see her again.""Either you do something about that, or I will," he demanded. "Before she turns on us, or we end up dead."

"No, Zero, don't go downstairs. If you do anything to scare them down there Mommy and Daddy will send me away like you said," She whispered. "Please listen to me," she begged.
"Don't leave me alone in here," Ellie whimpered.
In an instant Ellie was emptied once again of her anger. Whatever was inside of her burst through her and went downstairs.I hope they're not going to send us away, Ellie. I'll go see what they're talking about.
"Don't leave me, I'm scared."
They think you're the monster.
"Come back."
They don't want us anymore. Nobody ever wants us.

Screams came from the bedroom. Megan rushed upstairs, pushing Hank out of the way.
"Open up sweetie!" She yelled.
"Unlock the door!"
"Move over," Hank pushed. He kicked down the door to face little Ellie crying into her pillow.
"Elizabeth, baby, w-what's wrong? What happened?" She asked engulfing Ellie in her arms.
"Mommy, Zero left me again," she cried."It's okay, he's not real," she explained.
"He is! He is real!"
She looked up at her mother, her eyes glowing bright blue.
