Chapter 27
Lily Evans and James Potter
"Lily!" James' voice called up to her in the dorms. "Can you come down here please!" Lily, however reluctantly, abandoned her book on her bed to meet the mysterious call of her new boyfriend.
"What's wrong, James." she said with mock concern. James wrapped an arm around her and rested a hand on each shoulder. He turned her body toward the fireplace and the couch facing it. On the couch, Victoire and Teddy were both sitting, and both reading. Their books only being lit by the dim fire light and the early moonlight streaming through the window. Neither were speaking, both were just quite entrance by their literary novels.
"I don't see the problem." Lily deadpanned "Contrary to your belief, reading is fun. In fact, I'm just going to get back to mine." She tried to turn away from James and back to the dorms, but no such luck. James pulled her tighter into him.
"Now Evans," he spoke "The problem is not the reading. Though I don't understand the appeal quite myself, I support any activities of my girlfriend." Lily blushed a little "The problem is that they aren't snogging." Lily laughed "What? You agree don't you, they should."
"I'm sure the other boys agree with you, don't they." Lily smirked, completely expecting him to stutter a weak no.
"Yup." he said instead "They just no nothing of relationships. Unlike the quite knowledgeable me. I just need a partner in crime. So what do you say? You wanna be my partner in crime."
"No." Lily said, her face was completely serious and quite stern. "For two reasons. One, Sirius would kill both of us if he heard you asking someone else. I don't know about you, but you being dead before the death of your child that saves the world is born doesn't sound too good for the world. Two, that sounds quite vile, and honestly not how I want to spend my spring break. However, that being said, I will help you get these two together."
Lily stared at James' face. He just looked rather stunned. She laughed and dragged him over to a far table from the fireplace. She clicked on the table lamp and picked a piece of discarded parchment off the floor.
"We need a plan." she said "Word around the block is you're not too shabby at those."
"I like your thinking, Evans." James winked at her.

"Hey Vic, do you want to go to Hogsmeade with me and the girls tomorrow?" Lily shoved her but down beside Victoire on the couch.
"Oh, I'm sorry Lils, I was going to go book shopping with Teddy." she made a weak gesture at the partial werewolf beside her. "Maybe some other time?"
"No,it's fine Vic." Teddy said "You can go with her. We can always go book shopping."
"And then Ted can come with me and the other guys!" James exclaimed happily. He sat himself down on the armrest of the sofa.
"It all works out." Lily smiled before Vic could officially agree. "Gret. Victoire, we'll meet in the great hall at 10." Both she and James got up and went back to their table.
"Remind me how ruining their plans to spend time together with get them together?" James asked her.
"It won't get them together." Lily rolled her eyes "It'll give us time to interrogate them and find something to use against them."
"You, Lily Evans, and a scheving genius."
"Why thank you." Lily blushed slightly
The two parted ways up the left stairs and right stairs respectively after bidding each other goodnight with a quick kiss, but before either went to sleep and before the time travelers -night owls they were- came u to bed, they filled in the other Gryffindor seventh year on their ingenious plan that was to be executed in the morning.
"Hey Teddy."
"Yeah, Vic?"
"Do you think that Lily and James were acting weird?"
"I could answer that in numerous sarcastic ways."
"Fine, I'll rephrase. Do you think they were plotting something."
"No of course not. Lily's involved might I remind you."
"But James is involved."
"Shit, you're right. They are definitely planning something."
"The question is what..."
