"Don't walk away from me Victoire!" Teddy called after his significant other.

"You can't stop me Lupin." The usually lovely lady spat back.

"Where are you going to go?" Teddy demanded.

"I don't know." Victoire admit reluctantly. She didn't quite lose the edge to her voice but it was certainly tinged with exasperation. "Away from you, that's where."

"Victoire, you can't just go outside! This is a wartime!" Teddy argued.

"I don't care!" Vic threw her hands up. She was walking towards the door.

"I don't know why you're so mad at me!"

"Ugh." Vic shook her head. She turned back to Teddy, still walking towards the door. She opened her mouth to yell at her boyfriend again but crashed into Sirius.

"Woah!" He said "I came down here to shut up my mother but here I see it's a lover quarrel."

"Stay out of it Sirius." Victoire snapped. She ran past him and upstairs where she locked herself into her shared room with magic.

"Are you going to tell me?" Sirius asked Teddy back down in the entry way.

"I asked Victoire to marry me." Teddy replied, barely audibly.

"You what?" Sirius' eyes must've grown 3 sizes "But I thought you were waiting. Y'know for like getting back to 2015 or whatever."

"I didn't mean marry her tomorrow." Teddy defended himself "We never agreed to get married when we get home so I thought I would ask. She flipped out on me and I don't know why."

"Look, I've never been one to exel at long term relationships, but one thing I know is that you probably did something wrong, because as far as I know, it's not near the full moon."

"I really don't know, Sirius."

"Well, the kids are going to be back from the hospital any moment. Might want to let Vic calm down so she doesn't yell Lupin through the entire house." Sirius turned to leave the room before stopping "Do you want me to talk to her?" Teddy shrugged but it was taken as a yes from Sirius.

Upstairs, Sirius knocked on Vic's door the times quickly. "Vic, it's Sirius. Wanna talk?"

"Go away."

Sirius tried to wiggle the door open. With no luck he unlocked it with magic. "Vic, Teddy told me what happened. Why are you so mad, I thought you loved Teddy."

Victoire was lying face down into her pillow with the large quilt pilled on top of her. "I do." She mumbled into the pillow. "It just- I dunno..."

"Do you want to marry him?"

"I- maybe?" She sat up and hugged the pillow to her chest. Sirius could see the tear stains on the fabric as well as messy tear tracks on her face. "We've been dating for three or four years. Shouldn't I know my feelings by now? I want to marry him, I do, but it just feels wrong."

"He didn't want to marry you in 1995 you know."

"He said that? I thought- I thought..."

"It's ok Vic. I can tell Teddy wasn't that that straight with you." Sirius sat beside his friend. He placed his arm around him.

"Did I mess things up with him?" She asked him "does he hate me? I didn't exactly explain myself."

"He's fine. You two love each other. Now, you had better get your sorry arse downstairs before the kids get back. I won't have you adding to the sad around the house."

"I'll be down in a minute, Sirius."

"Alright. Don't be too long." Sirius left Vic alone with her thoughts.

She wasn't quite sure how to feel. Engaged to your boyfriend before your parents even knew you were dating? Yes, there may be some special circumstances, but it still felt weird.

"Yes." Vic thought out loud. "I will marry Teddy... someday."

A/N: it was my first day of school today. I don't know how I feel about my classes...
