This song is Think of You by Chris Young ft. Cassadee Pope

"Hey, (y/n)." My best friend, (y/bfn), said as she knocked on my door.

"We have a surprise for you." My other friend, (y/fn), said.

I reluctantly got up and opened the door.

"What?" I asked sheepishly.

"We're going out tonight." (Y/bfn) said.

"Guys, I don't want to." I said, heading towards my bedroom so I could lay down and sleep my sorrows away.

"(Y/n), listen. We know that you miss Marcel, but it's time that you got out of the house. After all, you broke up in March. It's July now, so come and have a drink with us. Please." (Y/fn) begged.

"Ugh fine." I said.

"Yay!" (Y/bfn) and (y/fn) shouted in union.

Marcel's POV

The guys and I were playing GTA V, but I wasn't into it. I was too busy thinking about how I miss (y/n). It's been a few months since we broke up but I still miss her. Evan shot a rocket at me and made me come out of my thoughts.

"Really? Nothing." Evan said disappointingly.

"What?" I asked.

"You haven't raged in a while, Marcel. What's wrong?" Craig asked.

"Nothing." I hesitated to say.

"Is it (y/n)?" Tyler asked.

I didn't say anything, confirming the answer to his question.

"We hate seeing you like this, Marcel." Craig said.

"Let's all go out to drink tonight. That'll get your mind off of (y/n)." Evan said.

"Fine." I agreed

Time skip

The guys and I walked into the bar that (y/n) and I used to go too. So many memories flooded through my mind. I looked over at the booth where we would all meet up, her friends, her, my friends, and me. It was empty. We sat at a different booth and ordered our drinks.

(Y/n) POV

(Y/bfn), (y,fn) and I walked into the bar. I had so many memories at this bar. They all included Marcel. The booth that we used to sit in was empty. I guess it's for the best. We sat at a booth the farthest from the old one.

"Are you sure you're okay, man?" I heard a voice asked from the booth behind us.

It sounded like Evan, but it could just be my imagination. I miss hanging out with Marcel's friends. They were all so funny and cool to be around.

"(Y/n), what's wrong?" (Y/bfn) asked.

"Nothing." I said.

She had a look on her face that told me that she didn't believe me. I couldn't blame her. She could read me like a book.

Marcel's POV

I could've sworn that I heard someone say (y/n), but I'm probably just hallucinating. All of the guys were drinking drink after drink, but I haven't even started on my first one. I'm too busy thinking about (y/n) to drink.

I heard a song start playing that I recognized, so I started singing along.

"I walk in on Friday nights
Same old bar, same burned out lights
Same people and all the same faces
So why in the hell does it feel like a different place?"

(Y/n) POV

I sang the song that was playing. It described what was happening in my life right now.

"Meet my friend for a girls' night out
Seems there ain't much to talk about
Same drinks that we're all raising
But all of the toasts just don't feel the same."

Both

"We used to be the life of the party
We used to be the ones that they wished they were
But now it's like they don't know how to act
Maybe they're like me and they want us back.
It's like there's always an empty space
Those memories that nobody can erase
Of how bright we burned
Well now it hurts, but it's true
When they think of me, they think of you."

Marcel

"They keep asking how I am
But they're really asking where you've been
I can read between all of the lines
It ain't just us missing all of the times."

Both

"We were the life of the party
We used to be the ones that they wished they were
But now it's like they don't know how to act
Maybe they're like me and they want us back.
It's like there's always an empty space
Those memories that nobody can erase
Of how bright we burned
Well now it hurts, but it's true
When they think of me, they think of you."

(Bold-Marcel, bold and italicized-you)

"Ain't it funny how a flame like that."

"Oh whoa, when they think of you."

"It can burn when it's in the past.
We used to be the life of the party."

"We used to be the ones that they wished they were."

"But now it's like they don't know how to act."

Both

"Maybe they're like me and they want us back
It's like there's always an empty space
Those memories that nobody can erase
Of how bright we burned
Well now it hurts, but it's true
When they think of me, they think of you."

(Bold-Marcel, bold and italicized-you)

"Oh whoa, they think of you."

"When they think of me."

"Baby, baby."

"Oh."

"Oh."

(Y/n)

I decided to get up and leave. On the way out, I bumped into someone. I looked up and saw that it was Marcel.

"When they think of me, they think of you." We both sang.

We embraced each other in a hug that seemed to last forever.

"I miss you." Marcel confessed.

"I miss you too." I said.

Marcel leaned down and kissed me with a kiss full of passion. I missed his kisses. I missed his hugs. I missed him.
