Tyler POV

Early the next morning, Brian and (y/n) went out for their tour of the kingdom. The whole time Brian was amazed by everything he saw.

"Has he kissed her yet?" Brock asked as they passed the water.

"Not yet." I answered.

"Oh." Brock showed his disappointment.

Brian and (y/n) then went dancing and went to see the rest of the town.

"Yo, Brock! Any kissing?" Scuttle asked.

"No, not yet." Brock answered.

"Hm. Well they... they better get cracking." Scuttle said.

Brian and (y/n) left town and went to the lagoon. They got into a boat and (y/n) rowed Brian around.

"Move over. Move you big feathers." Brock said to Scuttle. "I can't see a thing."

"Nothing is happening." Scuttle told Brock. "Only one day left, and that boy ain't puckered up once. Okay. Alright. This called for a little vocal romantic stimulation. Stand back."

Scuttle flew off and sang awfully.

"Wow. Somebody should find that poor animal and put it out of its misery." I heard (y/n) say.

"Jeez, man, I'm surrounded by amateurs." I sighed. "You want something done, you've got to go it yourself. First, we got to create the mood."

I got some of the aquatic life to help me set the romantic mood.

(Y/n) POV

"You know, I feel really bad not knowing your name." I said to the man. "Maybe I could guess. Is it, uh, Malcolm?"

The man shook his head no.

"Okay, no. How about Daniel?" I asked.

He shook his head no again.

"Richard?"

"Brian. His name is Brian." I thought I heard a voice say.

"Brian?" I asked.

The man shook his head yes.

"Brian? Well, that's kinda handsome. Okay. Brian." I said, happy that I knew his name.

I looked into his eyes. I felt the sudden urge to kiss him. I began to lean in, so did he. Before our lips could touch, the boat flipped over.

"Whoa, hang on." I said and swam over to Brian. "I've gotcha."

Vanoss POV

I sat in my cavern and waited for Flotsam and Jetsam to come back after doing my bidding.

"Nice work, boys." I praised them as they swam in. "That was a close one. Too close. The little tramp. Oh, he's better than I thought. At this rate, she'll be kissing him by sunset for sure. Well,it's time Vanoss took matters into his own tentacles. David's son will be mine and then I'll make him writhe. I'll see him wriggle like a worm on a hook."

I laughed as I turned into a human. I used Brian's voice to disguise my own.

(Y/n) POV

Day turned into night and I couldn't get Brian out of my head. He was handsome and an amazing man, but I swore to myself that I'd marry the man that saved my life that night. I sighed and began to play my flute. Grimsby walked up to me.

"(Y/n), if I may say, far better than any dream man, is one of flesh and blood, one warm and caring, and right before your eyes." Grimsby said and walked away.

I looked up at Brian's window and saw him, brushing through his hair. I couldn't stop thinking about Brian, but I also couldn't stop thinking about the mystery man. I sighed and threw my flute into the ocean out of frustration. I turned to go back into the castle when I heard that voice, the voice I have been searching for. I looked over at the beach and saw the man singing. I looked at him more carefully and began to feel differently, almost like I was under a spell.

Brian POV

"Brian! Brian, wake up! Wake up!" I heard Scuttle yell at me.

I woke up and looked at the excited bird.

"I just heard the news. Congratulations, kiddo, we did it." Scuttle said.

"What is this idiot babbling about?" Tyler asked.

"Right, as if you two didn't know." Scuttle said. "The whole town's buzzing about the princess getting herself hitched this afternoon. You know, she's getting married. You silly sidewalker. I just wanted to wish you luck. I'll catch you later, I wouldn't miss it."

I couldn't believe the news. I picked Tyler up, spun around, and kissed his head. I rushed to the mirror and made sure that I looked my best. I ran down the stairs, but was stopped when I saw (y/n) with another man.

"Well, uh, (y/n). It appears that I was mistaken. This mystery man of yours does in fact exist. And... and he is lovely. Congratulations, my dear." I heard Grimsby say.

"We wish to be married as soon as possible." (Y/n) said.

"Oh, yes. Of course, (y/n), but, uh, but these things do take time, you know." Grimsby said.

"This afternoon, Grimsby. The wedding ship departs at sunset." The princess said.

"Oh, oh, very well, (y/n). As you wish." Grimsby said.

I couldn't stop the tears from flowing. I ran down to the pier to be alone. Tyler and Brock didn't leave my side though.

Vanoss POV

My plan was actually working. I got the princess to fall in love with me, and now David's son will be mine. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. I couldn't contain my excitement.

"What a lovely little groom I'll make, my dear I'll look divine. Thing are working out according to my ultimate design. Soon I'll have that little merman and the ocean will be mine." I said my little rhyme.

Good thing no one was around to hear me.

Brian POV

During the afternoon, while the ship was departing, Scuttle flew over in a frenzy.

"Brian! Brian!" He yelled. "Brian, I was flying, I wa- of course I was flying- An- I s- I saw that the watch- the witch was watching a mirror, and he was talking with a stolen set of pipes! Do you hear what I'm telling you? The princess is marrying the sea witch in disguise!"

"Are you sure about this?" Tyler asked Scuttle.

"Have I ever been wrong? I mean when it's important." Scuttle said.

"What are we gonna do?" Brock asked.

I looked at the sky and saw that the sun was setting. I heard Vanoss' voice in my head.

"Before the sun sets on the third day."

I jumped into the water, but without my tail, I couldn't swim well. Tyler pushed some barrels into the water.

"Brian, grab on to that. Brock, get her to that boat as fast as your fins can carry you!" Tyler instructed us.

"I'll try." Brock said as he swam to me.

"I've gotta get to the sea king. He must know about this." Tyler said.

"What about me?" Scuttle asked.

"You find a way to stall that wedding." Tyler told him.

"Stall the wedding. What am I- what- that's it." Scuttle said flew off.
