Chapter Nine

"Hey girlfriend, lunch is...."

"You are late." Diana snapped at Nadia who raised her eyebrows at her.

"Well, number one there was a ass long line, two I had to take my time to choose and well if you count that I saw a perve enter here on my way out I decided to take my time, does that count as number three?"

"Oh you." Di groaned, "Give me that." She snatched her lunch from her friend, "He actually asked about you."

"Can we not talk about pervs here?" Nadia said through her lunch and when her friend nodded she said, "Cool."

"Okkkk, so would you come to dinner...." Di started with a grin

"No, don't even mention it, cuz dinner at your place means Neil and Neil means his perv best friend, so no."

"It's not even at my place." Di mumbled.

"Where's it then?"

"You know, Seth's place." Di said it indifferently like it was no big deal and suddenly felt a cold object dripping on her face. She frowned and touched her face then came back with a tomato, "Ahhhh, Nadia I'm going to kill you." She got up to chase her friend but Nadia had known what would happen and had run off to hide.

Diana hated tomatoes, especially raw ones, they just gave her the creeps.

"Sweetie would you like to go somewhere on Friday?" Diana asked Phe as she made dinner for them. Phe was seated on the dining drawing.

"Mmhmm." Came the reply.

"Okay, well Neil said he was taking us for a short vacation in a park, you know with animals and cool stuff."

"You mean a national park?" Phe had ceased what she was doing and was looking intently at her aunt, she really didn't know how to explain things.

"Yeah, but it's gonna be in Kenya and we will have to travel there for just a few minutes we will be there."

"Are we gonna travel by plane cuz Kenya is a tiny bit far." She asked again.

"Yeah and..."

"Aunt, the thing is very simple, we are going to Kenya for a short vacation and we will travel by plane cuz it's quicker, yeah?"

"Yeah," Gosh her daughter was such a forward person.

"Then definitely yes I would so love to go, I can't wait." Phe said in excitement and Diana frowned, well atleast she had somehow delivered the message.

They sat down to eat and later Di helped Phe with her homework and they later went to bed.

Diana's phone rang and she smiled when she saw Neil's name.

"Hi babe," She said.

"Hi." He sounded tired.

"You still in the office?" Di asked with a frown.

"Home office, took the work at home, it was too much." He groaned

"Oh babe, you shouldn't stress yourself you know."

"If my dad was here, he would be in my position right now." He said tightly and Di was surprised.  They had never talked about his dad, maybe Neil was stressed she thought to herself.
