Chapter Sixteen

"I don't wanna see Uncle Neil anymore mommy," Pheobe said as Diana drugged her feet around the kitchen. She paused what she was doing and glanced at her daughter.

"Why's that baby?" she asked and Phe shrugged.

"Because the first time I talked about him You had a sad look on your face and then the last time you called Uncle Seth and after you got off the phone you cried, I don't wanna see you cry mommy," the little girl said and Diana came and hugged her.

"Baby now listen to me, you are still too young to worry about anything, okay? You should know that I love you and you don't have to worry about anyone else, Neil and I had a fight but we will all be okay, alright?" her nodded her head and Di smiled.

"I love you too mommy, but you are so sad, " Phe put her palms on Diana's cheeks and squeezed her making her mouth become pointed and they both laughed.

Diana hugged her daughter to her, it has been two weeks now and Neil has refused to speak to her. She had decided to give him space and if he was ready to listen to her, He would return back home instead of running away. "Can we go see aunt Nadia today?" Diana asked and Phe nodded excitedly. Nadia loved to spoil her daughter like crazy. "Go on put on something babe, we will go see what crazy idea Nadia has up her sleeve,"

Pheobe ran excitedly to her bedroom leaving Diana alone. Di, picked up the phone and was tempted to dial Neil's Canadian number but she shook her head and dialled Nadia's, she picked on the second ring, "Hallo sweetums, " Nadia answered on the second ring.

"Hi yourself,"

"I'm all good, are you guys coming?" Nadia asked.

"Ofcoarse, how can we miss?"

"Okay so I'm treating you both today and don't ask me where I'm taking you,"

"I'm not asking," Diana said

"So have you heard from Neil?" Nadia asked and there was silence at Diana's side, "Um, Di, I'm so sorry I didn't. .."

"It's Okay, Nadia, we are friends and I bet you are concerned about me,"

"I am worried Diana, I talked to Seth yesterday, "

"What did he say?" Diana's heart thumped against her chest, had Neil moved on already?

"Neil has been acting totally strange these last weeks, Seth says it's like he's blaming himself for what happened so burried himself in work and alcohol, he didn't sound happy Diana,"

Diana was suddenly angry, how dare he. Wasn't he the one who had turned tail and fled the country the first chance he got? She had wanted to talk things through so she would talk to him but he had refused and not to mention the number of times she had called. "That foolish man," Diana muttered. Well it looked around She was going to go to him, She sighed, "Let's come over now," Diana said to Nadia then hang up, "Phe, hurry up," she called to her daughter. She knew Neil was the man for her and she didn't have a doubt, only she had to go face him so they can talk everything out. She knew she had to go to Canada, because Neil had no plan of returning soon.

"Let's go," her daughter came down with a smile. The two women walked out of the house, the younger one chattering while the older woman smiled here and laughed there.

"Oh Diana, I pray you return with Neil," Nadia said as she hugged her friend at the airport entrance.

"I pray so too," Diana replied with a smile. It was over one week  before Diana decided to goto  Canada, she wanted to confront Neil because she  was tired of being without him. She didn't know what to expect but she was going come what may." I'm gonna miss you baby, but I'm coming back okay?" She kissed Pheobe and walked towards the check in. She sighed when she sat in her seat near the window, she was going to do it.

ghaaaaa, I'm tired of this book, my mind became blank for a moment there. I just wanna finish it.
