Chapter Twenty

Neil felt his heart break as she cried in his chest. It was the last thing he had wanted to see and now his heart was breaking along with Diana's. "Shh, don't cry, please," he soothed her softly as she let everything out, "I'm sorry I hurt you, okay?"

"I'm sorry too," Diana finally spoke, "Sorry for keeping you in the dark about Phe, I was scared you would leave me and also scared I'll be judged,"

"Now why would you think anyone would judge you? Did your family do that?"

"No, but I was anxious in the beginning about how to introduce Pheobe to them, and you know how the first lie is very easy to go along with until it catches up with you,"

"It's good we are now on the same page, I love you, Diana, you should know that," Neil said pulling her even closer.

"I love you too," she answered and gasped when he pulled her suddenly towards him and captured her lips with his. "Please let's go home, Phe's waiting for me, and you," Diana said finally pulling out of the kiss.

"Okay, I hope she isn't angry with me," Neil said.

"Oh, she will forgive you," Diana said as she pulled him towards the wardrobe, "Pack your things," She said and went on to remove them throwing them on the bed.

"Yes ma'am, " Neil said eyes smiling at Diana.

"If only I knew the reunion would be as simple," Seth said from the doorway of the suite, " I would have pushed it long time ago,"

"Yeah right," Diana said rolling her eyes.

"Hey I mean it," Seth protested, "So, you leaving?" he asked Neil who nodded. "Okay then, greet Nadia, tell her I'll be there soon,"

"I hope your intentions towards my friend are honourable, " Diana threatened.

"Hey, ofcoarse they are," he protested and showing an offended face.

"Let's go, baby," Neil said wrapping his arm around Diana's shoulder.

"Bye Seth," Diana said and followed Neil outside.

"Pheobe, we home," Neil shouted the moment they entered Nadia's house. The little girl came running at a high speed, Neil spread his arms wide then, "Ouch," he screamed and glared shocked at the young kid. "What was that for?"

"For making my mum cry," Phe replied, going to Diana who wrapped her hands around her?

"Umm, about that, I apologized to your mum, and I also apologize to you, do you forgive me?"

"Are we going to your beach house now?" She asked, her attention fully at him at Diana who nodded, "Ofcoarse," he said.

"Then you are forgiven, let's go," Phe said gleefully, "Aunt Nadia we are leaving," she said looking towards the kitchen.

"Nope, you'll eat first," Nadia came out with a couple of dishes on a tray. They sat down as they chatted back and forth, though Nadia kept throwing threatening glances towards Neil. The latter didn't mind though, he glided his fingers towards where Diana's fingers were. Diana smiled at him as he squeezed her fingers.
