I had to restrain my hand from balling up and smashing Cody's face.

My cheeks grew red as I felt all the old anger bubble to the surface.

The nerve of this guy to show up on Christmas and remind me of how much heartache I had been through over him.

"Hey El," he chirped, but as he examined my face he realized something was wrong.

Damn right something was wrong.

"Why aren't you happy to see me?" He retorted, a brow arching up in question.

"I don't wish to see you," I coldly responded, but I could hear my mother coming behind me and groaned.

"Hello there, Ellie why won't you invite the poor man in, it's quite chilly tonight."

I turned my face and begged with my eyes for her to rethink her statement, hoping she would get the hint.

Alas she just winked at me and told Cody to come inside.

God she's oblivious.

"I'll be in my room," I mumbled as I angrily stomped off to my room. How could my mom be so transparent?

I sighed, rubbing in between my eyes, what a Christmas this turned out to be.

Moments later I heard a soft knock at my door, "Go away" I commanded.

Damn, I wish my locks weren't broken.

The door opened and Cody slowly shifted his way to my bed and plopped down beside me.

"Ellie I'm sorry for whatever I did to upset you. You know I really missed yo.."

I cut him off, tears already falling down my cheeks,

"How dare you Cody! How dare you lead me on when you have a girlfriend."

I choked.

I didn't hold back this time, my hand came soaring in and smacked his left cheek.

Cody turned his head toward me, surprised, holding his reddened face, but then looked away suddenly knowing that he had deserved it. My anger just kept piling and piling up. God that felt good to do.

"Ellie....she and I broke up," he said uneasily, rubbing his cheek.

He scanned my face for any reaction, I just dryly laughed, "Really Cody? How convenient for you."

"She left me while I was in the detention center," he whispered.

"Good for her then," I spat. I narrowed my eyes to look at him, and even through slits Cody's disheartened expression was hard to stay angry at.

"Just go," I sighed, falling back on my bed. I didn't want him here any longer. Hearing his explanation only made me glad that I had moved on.

I closed my eyes but reopened them as suddenly I felt lips press against mine.

My cheeks instantly flushed and tingles ran all over my skin and danced their way to my stomach, which was doing somersaults.

Our lips parted, but then moved deeper. And I could feel his body poised above mine.

The heat from our kiss was leaving me breathless, and I could feel my anger sizzling away.

I was totally lost in the blissful moment until my common sense kicked back in.

I shoved him off me and glared at him, how could he think a simple kiss would make things better.

I noted the bulge in his jeans and he stumbled backwards, almost tripping.
