DONNIE'S P.O.V.

I went back that afternoon and slipped into the lair and the guys were just sitting on the couch watching TV.

"And where have you been, Donatello?" Leo was the first to corner me.

"Somewhere." I shrugged and tried to slip past him and get to my lab.

"I think Donnie's got a secret girlfriend he's not telling us about." Mikey spoke up and I rolled my eyes at him.

"No-"

"Is she hot?" Raph asked.

"She can't be hot. Donnie can't see hotness." Mikey said.

"I'm sure Donnie's girlfriend is pretty, he's not blind." Raph scoffed.

"So what's she like? Is she a nerd?" Leo asked me.

"Guys! I don't have a girlfriend! I just wanted to be alone for a while. Am I not allowed that?" I huffed and pushed past Leo, going into my lab and shutting the doors and locking them tight. I took off my gear and fell on my bed, fishing my phone out and dialling for Dorian.

"Donnie?" She yawned. "What's up?"

"Were you asleep? Sorry if I woke you..." I immediately felt guilt.

"No, Donnie, I wasn't asleep. You've been around me for twenty four hours now. You should know I'm just constantly tired." She chuckled. Even through the line, her laugh was so cute.

"True. You are constantly yawning." I smiled, feeling better by just hearing her voice. God, her hooks were deep in me already.

"So, what's up? You leave my place and not an hour later you call me. Miss me already?" She teased and I imagined her tongue poking out between her teeth as she grinned: a habit of hers I've noticed. She sticks her tongue out a lot. Especially when she smiles. It just rests there between her top and bottom teeth and it's absolutely adorable.

"Nah, my brothers just started to bug me again. Didn't really feel like leaving, so I thought I'd call you instead." I hummed, stretching out on my bed.

"Donnie." She sighed, slightly serious. "How many times now have I told you you can just come over whenever. I don't care if it's the middle of the night and you just come in while I'm dead asleep. Mi casa es su casa. You could honestly just move in." She laughed a little and I let a smile light me up.

"Besides..." She trailed off and I could almost see her picking at something out of embarrassment. "The bed's gonna feel colder tonight than it did last night." She mumbled, but I heard perfectly.

"Just hang in there, Dor. I'll be there tomorrow night." I swore, already making plans.

"Promise?" She asked, sounding a bit more cheery.

"I promise. Get some sleep, Dor. Okay? You need it." I said and heard her laugh softly.

"Alright. See you tomorrow, Donnie." She said.

"See you tomorrow." I whispered and hung up, lying back and gazing up at the ceiling, much calmer than I was five minutes ago.

I let myself drift off to sleep, dreaming of Dorian and what was blooming between us. Hopefully it wasn't just my imagination.

I got up late the next morning, missing breakfast and seeing the guys practising. Leo tripped me and I glared up at him.

"You're late. Ninjas don't oversleep." He said and I got up and grabbed my bo staff.

"Yeah, well, we all do at some point." I huffed and got in line with the other two. Both Raph and Mikey gave me side glances that I ignored.

"You feeling okay, bro?" Mikey asked.

"Fine." I muttered back.

We listened to Leo lecture on a bit, and I found myself zoning out, daydreaming about seeing Dorian later. Maybe I'd confess that I found her really attractive and I liked her, or is that too soon? Maybe I could just give her a quick kiss, or is that creepy? Maybe kiss her cheek? That's kinda something friends do. Wait, shit. She studies psychology. She probably knows I like her. Damn it.

I was hit on the side and dropped to the ground. "I expect this from Mikey, but you, Donnie? Not paying attention? Are you sure you're feeling okay?" Leo asked and I blinked, realising where I was.

"Yeah... I've got a lot on my mind..." I hummed and began walking towards the lab.

"I didn't dismiss you!" Leo shouted.

"Oh well." I sighed and took some stuff like books and whatever and left, going to Dorian's.
