The next day, Donnie shared with me a watch that would temporarily make him look human.
"Hold up! Let me go get ready!" I said and rushed into my bedroom to put on some clean clothes and makeup.
"For what?" Donnie asked.
"To go out! We can get coffee, books, and ooh! Ice cream!" I cheered and quickly put on a little makeup and slipped on some shoes and grabbed my bag and took Donnie's hand and lead him out the door and to the elevator and to the front door.
"Dor, I have to turn it on first." He said and switched it on before stepping out.
Donnie was a tall, tan dude with cute brown eyes and brown hair that fell into his eyes, covered by his glasses. He slipped off his mask and I didn't want to question how he was wearing clothes.
"Right. Let's go." He said, taking my hand and I just followed in awe behind him.
"Donnie... you're hot..." I whispered and he smirked back at me.
"Hope that's not a problem, sweetie." He winked and I blushed a bit, focusing on the feel of our fingers laced together.
We walked to the bookstore and went to the café and Donnie got some coffee and I got myself some tea. We sipped those and looked through books and just had a great time together.
Donnie picked up a book and hid it behind his back and I got a revamped version of one of my favourite books and went to check them out.
"Here, I'll get them. You wait outside. I'll be there in a second." Donnie said and I gave him a look. "Promise." He said and I sighed and went to go wait for him outside the doors.
He's hiding something from me, and he's not doing a really good job of it either.
When he came out, I grabbed his hand and dragged him to a space between the buildings. "Dorian, what-" He was cut off as I pushed him against the wall.
"What are you hiding from me?" I asked and he blushed.
"Hiding? I'm not hiding anything from you. What on earth would make you think that?" Donnie's voice got higher as he spoke, which I found adorable.
"Donnie." I raised my eyebrow and he sighed and took the book he bought out of the bag and handed it to me, blushing and looking away.
It was a book basically on how to be the best boyfriend ever and how to treat girls. It had everything from asking them out, first kisses, first dates, meeting her parents, just treating her in general, to sex. How to make sex great for her.
"I just- you're my first girlfriend, and I really didn't know what to do, I still don't know what to do. I know romance movies don't do anything realistically, but-"
I cut him off by stretching up on my tiptoes and kissing him, my arms going around his neck. Soon he kissed me back and wrapped his hands around my waist and hips.
"Donnie, that's really considerate of you. I know you're nervous, but I am too, because you're my first boyfriend too. But we can get through everything together, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. This is new for both of us, so we have to be there for each other." I said and he nodded and kissed my forehead.
"Now, let's go get ice cream!" I said, taking his hand again and dragging him off.
