I moved in front of Garrett and put my hands on his shoulders to hold him steady.

"Hey. Hey hey hey. Calm down. They're not monsters. They're not evil. They're not going to hurt us. Well, maybe you, but definitely not me." I said, then turned to the guys. "Please don't hurt him."

"No promises." Leo said.

"Garrett, these are my friends. Well, not so sure about toughie over there. And Donnie is right there." I pointed him out and Garrett's face went into shock.

"That's Donnie? You're dating that thing? But he looks so..." Garrett trailed off.

"He made a watch for him and his brothers to alter their appearances for a little while." I explained.

"What are they?" He hissed.

"Well, we were regular turtles in an experimental lab. Then we were injected with stuff and we mutated." Leo said.

"They're humanoid mutant turtles. Oh, and they're ninjas." I smiled and Garrett turned around.

He held his head and took deep breaths. "This is crazy. This is crazy. This isn't real." Then he turned to me. "You drugged me, didn't you? At your place... or the ice cream. You drugged me!" He said and I rolled my eyes.

"Please, Garrett. You're a pothead. You would know if I drugged you. Do you feel high right now?" I said and he was silenced. "Thought not. Anyway, what brings you guys topside?" I asked, turning to them as Garrett sorted out his thoughts by himself.

"Well, you didn't come back, so Donnie began to worry, then he insisted we search for you. Then Mikey spotted you with him and insisted you were cheating this time. We had to check for the sake of our brother." Leo said and put his hand on Donnie's arm.

"Understood." I nodded.

"So, where's Tweedledee and Tweedledum?" Donnie stepped up and asked.

"Garrett doesn't know, I don't know. I don't even want to think about them." I huffed and Donnie rubbed my shoulder and Garrett turned to me.

"What's wrong with Ryan and Sean?" He asked.

"You mean other than they're the biggest dicks in the universe? Let me think for a second." I said sarcastically.

"Hey, they may be jerks, but they're still my friends." Garrett said.

"Well. Your friends are dicks, I'll give you that." I nodded and he scoffed.

"And you're friends with freaks. Dating one, even." He said and I punched him.

"Don't call them that." I hissed and everyone seemed pretty shocked.

"Wow. You pack a punch." Garrett sat up and rubbed his jaw. "Sorry. Sorry. I'm sorry. I'm trying, but it's hard not to say everything that comes to your head, y'know?" He asked and I nodded.

"True. Took me years. Would you believe I was even meaner in high school than I was in middle school?" I asked and helped him up.

"No way. You were a complete bitch in middle school! Took me ages to even get a smile out of you." He said and I nodded.

"Tell me about it. Had a change of heart junior year after one of my friends died and in her note, she said she hated my guts and hoped I burned in hell for everything I did." I hummed and he just laughed a bit.

Then Garrett turned to Donnie. "You may think she's super nice and sweet, but she used to be so twisted, she could put superhero villains to shame." He said and Donnie just looked at me oddly and I gave a sheepish smile.

"Surprise." I said, then dropped it. "I know I'm going to hell. I'm not trying to change it, just trying to get through life not completely hated." I hummed.

"I feel you." Raph nodded and I looked to him in surprise.

"Cool, dude." I nodded back.
