It's been a good 10 minutes.
Of me freaking out.
Aster called Anna, deciding that it probably would be a better idea if I got her reassurance. If it was up to Aster, the only reassurance I would be getting is 'We can totally take her on so man up'.
Of course, Anna had to finish up what was important before comforting her scared big sister who was worrying over someone going after her.
I have no idea why I'm so worried. Every one of the good spirits are going to protect me, and it's not like they'd let a scratch on my body. But why do I feel like something is going to go horribly wrong?
Anyways, Jack was still tending to his girlfriend- Vanessa. I still can't figure out why that chick is so darn possessive. Jack and I are friends...sort of. Friends can make skin contact can't they?! She acts as if the minute I say 'Hey Jack' I deserve to be shot in the skull.
Which I don't, for all you sadists out there.
"Elsa!" The voice of my little sister yelled, and I was engulfed into a tight hug immediately afterwards. I warmly welcomed her embrace, hugging her back and nestling my face in her shoulder.
She pulled away from me, holding me shoulders length. It was as if she was looking me in the eyes so she could read my thoughts. I wouldn't be surprised if she actually knew how. This girl is way more capable than I thought she was.
"Tessa and Hiccup are out to get you?"
See.
I nodded slowly, earning myself another hug and a pat on the head. Aster walked over to us, his arms crossed firmly. "We have to protect her. I'm thinking of laying Jack off his duties so he can watch her."
"No." Anna began, shaking her head. "Watching over her every move and basically holding her captive will not solve anything. The more she worries about it, the worse she will get mentally. We have to allow her to resume her normal life."
And those are the most touching words I ever heard Anna say. She knew very well how much I hated being tied down and having people control me. She was well aware that I valued my freedom to do whatever I wanted more than anything.
But of course Aster knows nothing other than fight for what you want.
"We cannot lose sight of her. What if she gets hurt. Everything we know will be destroyed." Aster countered. Anna seemed to be a bit in a self battle, trying to figure out which mattered more. My happiness or the faith of the world.
It looked as if she had finally come to a decision when she looked up to meet his gaze. "Jack can sense when she's in trouble, it doesn't matter how far apart they are. You know the bond they have; he wouldn't let anything happen to her. He doesn't have to be right next to her for him to protect her Aster."
Aster knew Anna had a point. She was one for words. But Aster was also stubborn. Another reason I don't understand how they work out.
It was clear Aster didn't want to fight with Anna. I knew because instead of giving a smart remark, he walked out the room and slammed the door behind him. Anna did not bother saying anything. She just turned to me and sighed. "Go Elsa. Have fun, but watch your back."
I'll admit, it was scary walking out of the building. Now that it was kind of a fact that Tessa wanted me dead, I've been a bit more cautious.
Okay, a lot more cautious. I literally have my hands out to my side ready to blast whoever comes at me. Nothing like a girl's reflexes when she's scared.
I had to accept and ignore all the looks people gave me. I was in the middle of the freaking city acting like there was a murderer on loose, what did I expect?
