Regina

Two Weeks Later

I held the crystal ball in my hands while Snow continued my makeup in her bathroom, I had been forbidden to enter my house before noon because my sister and Emma needed the maximum amount of time to decorate for my baby shower.

"Okay I don't need all of this and I definitely not wearing pink." I declared, watching as Snow pulled out her blush and eyeshadow, trying my hardest not to roll my eyes, reminding myself that she never got to play dress up, so this was her chance and she wasn't getting another one.

"Oh I know." She said setting her makeup down, disappearing into her bedroom, returning with a navy dress with pink and white flowers, the neckline similar to my mayoral dresses, the short sleeves leaving my shoulders bare.

"I am pregnant Snow! I can't fit in a satin dress!" I noted, feeling quite self conscious over my growing middle.

"Yes you can, it's a sun dress and it flares out at your bump, I bought you a maternity dress Regina, I promise it will fit." She said in exasperation, laying it on the bed where Robyn was sleeping through her mid morning nap.

"Now relax and let me finish your hair." She said unpinning some of my rollers and blow drying them out, making Robyn jolt awake and wail.

"Hold on." I groaned, using her arm to stand up and retrieve my crying niece, resting her on my budding bump while I carried her into the bathroom, using one arm to hold her against me, using the other to cover her ears while Snow continued.

"Alright, you're done." She said placing the last pin and piece of hair in its spot, turning the chair so I could see, finding myself pleasantly surprised, leaving my makeup casual and light, and my long hair curled and pulled back half up and down.

"You thought I was going to make you look like a clown didn't you?" She smirked, I shrugged and raised my eyebrow slowly getting up with her help.

"Now you have to get dressed." She said looking at my white robe that I had found so incredibly comfortable.

"So this crystal will suck my mother's magic and give me enough time to kill her?" I verified, she sighed and nodded, taking the glass ball from me, setting it in the camouflaged cabinet. "Yes, now stop thinking about it, at least today, let yourself enjoy your party, okay?" She instructed, I nodded and glanced at the cabinet, bringing my eyes to the dress on the bed.

"Fine, but I'm going to need help getting dressed." I muttered, her stern look disappeared and replaced with a smile. "Okay." She agreed, taking Robyn and setting her in the bouncy swing that hung from the doorframe.

"Step into it." She instructed, holding the dress at my knees, I gripped her shoulders and wobbled, quickly realizing that I was not getting this dress on this way.

"No, I'm pulling it over, you can fix my hair but I am not going to get it past my bump." I said helping her up, lifting my arms up while she helped slip it past my face, pulling it in place.

"See! It fits!" She yelled in excitement, zipping it up excitedly, I chuckled and clasped my necklace on, watching her rummage through a shopping bag and pull out two pairs of sandals.

"The pink ones." I said pointing to the thin strap sandals, attempting to bend over and strap them on, abruptly being stopped by my stepdaughter.

"No, just let me." She said quickly slipping them on my feet which were freshly pedicured thanks to her insisting that she do them for my party.
