Misunderstanding

Kirstie pov
I was having a good time at the garden. Paloma was playing with flowers. Jo was taking care of her and I was just walking alomg a small pond. It was very far from the mansion.

S: Psst Kirst
K: Hmm?

I looked around and spotted Steve.

S: Don't look at me. Just pretend to look at the pond.
K: What....

I just looked at the pond.

S: I need you to trust me.
K:What.. ?
S: Jo is a Cross.
K: A cross?
S:He is one of The Cross

I was shocked.

K:How do you know that?
S: I knew somethung was fishy.
K: But The Cross killed his family!!
S:He thinks it's Mitch's fault.
K: What??!!! Why on eart-
S: Keep your voice down.
K: Why should I trust you?
S: He has a cross tatoo on his left wrist.
K: Wh..What... the
S:He is planning to kidnap you today

Right on time Jo called me.

S:Act cool just go casually. I am right here.

I gulped and went to Jo. I wanted to hold Paloma but no. He wouldn't

J: Your arm is not fully recovered
K: Yeah right

I rolled my eyes. I glanced at his wrist. Surprisingly there was a small cross. He seemed to notice my glance. he covered his wrist with his cuff.

J: Hey I know a cool place around the garden. Do you want to check it out?

I was getting worried.

K: N...No... I think I feel dizzy. I should go back in
J: Come on Kirst. It's just a 5 min. walk.

He practically dragged me.

K: Jo! I am tired!!

He simply ignored. I saw some guards running toward us. But where Jowas heading,there was a black car.

Steve pov
I looked for a way to help her. But I realizes the whole Cross crews were too. I see them hiding near the bushes.

Kirstie suddenly moves fast. She gets a hold of Paloma.

K:Steve! RUN!!!

She threw Paloma to me. Thankfully I caught her. But her cries scared me. Her arm was broken. I hesitated for a moment if I should run or not. But when I see the Cross members coming out, I realized there was no way I could save Kirstie. I sprinted and made sure Paloma was secure. I heard some gun firing. I couldn't look back. I just ran.

As I made in to the mansion,I ran to my room. I was panicking. I quickly laid Paloma down. I bandaged her wound quickly.

I heard people coming. I panicled and hid Paloma in my basket and put in in my closet. I pulled a cover on her.

M: Open the door!!!

Thank god it was Mitch.

S: Boss!

He choked me as soon as I opened the door.

M:How dare you betray me? I raised you!
S:Boss it wasn't me! It was Jo!!!

He looked around

S: Jo is holding Kirstie at the garden!!
M: What?

He dropped me and I scurried to my closet.

S: I couldn't save Kirstie. I am sorry.

I pulled Paloma out. He looked at her. After he checked her arm was broken he gave me a questioning look.

S: Kirst threw her to me.

He nodded. He looked pale.

M:Where is Kirstie?
S: I... I am sorry

He ran out the door. I gave Paloma to Maggie and followed him.

He ran across the garden where all the guards were.

But when we reached to the spot, I kmew we were too late.

M: Where the hell is she?

His eyes were fuming and I was kinda scared.

M: WHERE THE HELL IS KIRSTIE!!

Ome of the guards told him that Jo took her. He dismissed the guards

S:Boss she is going to be alright
M: If we get there on time

He had anger written in his face.

M: Bring in Ben and Hidden.

I nodded amd paged them tp be at Mitch's office asap.

Mitch pov
I was wrong all the time. I slammed my fist dowm on the desk. Soon enough Ben and Hidden came in.

B: I am sorry Boss. I thought it was St-
M: It's fine
B: Boss
M: We need to save Kirstie. As soon as possible.
B: So it's The Cross who took Kirst?
M: Yes.

I gritted my teeth. There was a bigger problem.

M: There is a bigger problem

Ben's eyes widened.

M: I don't know who runs The Cross.

Usually it was common for the gangs to know each other's boss. The Cross was our enemy since the beginning. I didn't know why. However the boss was never seen.

Suddenly Maggie barged in.

Mi: What is it?
Ma:Her shoes boss! Her shoes has GPS in them!

I remembered that I planted GPS in her shoes just in case. So I quickly followed what her GPS said and it showed that Kirstie was heading to their mansion hidden in the forest.

I let Ben and Hidden out so that they could organize the team for saving Kirstie.

I opened the closet which was located in my office's corner. I usually put my suit jacket. But this time there was a beautiful dress. It was huge and had mysterious feeling to it. Back was open with straps and the dress itself looked like fogs with flower petals. ( image above)

I touched the hem of the dress. I was going to give this for the dinner. The dress code was black but I wanted her to wear it so she could be noticed by everyone. My eyes became blurry.

I lost her again. I let others hurt her.

I took a deep breath and closed the closet's door. I was going to make sure she is going to wear it.

I walked out and went to our basement. Ben and Hidden already organized the crew. Only the best fighters were chosen.

I brought out the map of The Cross mansion which was hidden. I got this from Jo so I wasn't sure if it was the right one. But we didn't have any source so we decided to believe it.
