Epilogue

Jiin pov
Today was 2nd year anniversary of Kirstie's death. I quickly got dressed up and I called for Scott.

Scott and I were back together. Things got messed up with me after Kirstie's death and Scott helped me out. Things got heated and well the next thing I knew was that I was again pregnant. I was a month pregnant and Scott proposed to me. We are planning our marrige on the next month.

J: Scottie are you ready?

Scott came out with all black suit with his hair brushed back.

S:Let's go.

I held Scott's arm and went to his car. He drove. My mind was becoming blank. I hated this day. I hated the fact Kirstie was not with me.

As we arrived Mitch was already there sitting next to her tomb. Jane ans Paloma was there putting the flowers. Jane and Paloma grew so much. Jane was walking and talking a little. Paloma was getting smarter everyday

P:Aunt Jiin!!
J: Auntie!!

They both came running to me as I gave them hugs. Mitch stood up too.

J:Hey how are you doing?

Mitch just gave me a small smile. He lost alot of weight and it was hard to see him like that.

I sat down next to Mitch and touched her tomb stone.

J: Hey Kirst ...

My tears escaped.

J: You know... I am getting married to Scott next month. I really hoped you would be the bride's maid but....

I wiped my tears and tried to calm myself.

J: I just miss you. I miss you alot.

Mitch pov
Jiin was crying as she talked softly. I missed Kirstie too. But it was more like a part of me was gone. Yes I tried to be okay and be strong for my angels Kirstie left for me but it was hard. Everyday was just living hell for me. The girls resembled Kirstie so much and everytime they asked about their mommy I had to hide away and cry.

P: Daddy?

Paloma was wearing a cute black dress with a black bow. Jiin took the kids away so I could have some time with Kirstie alone.

M:Hey babe

I just carressed the stone as if it were Kirstie. My tears just escaped and I had no intention of stopping.

M:Paloma is now 5 years old. She is healthy and talkative. Jane is now 3 years old. She can talk a whole lot and she walks and runs too. You should have seen her take the first step.

I stopped for a moment. I held my breath to stop a sob from my mouth.

M: Remember when you told me that you weren't sure to go on your life when I was in coma?

I faintly smiled at the memory. It was such a lomg time ago but I remember it pretty clearly.

M:At first I thought of that too. Going on a day without you was a living hell for me.

I remembered those past. I had to have sleeping pills to sleep everyday. Just the thought of Kirst not there made me stay awake.

M:You came out in my dreams so many times. I always wanted to stay with you.

I stopped again. It was hard to say it.

M:I tried to stay with you by taking more sleeping pills than I was suppose to. I popped them and when I finished popping all 10 out I was going to do it.

A grunt came out of my mouth. It was hard to talk and control my sob.

M: But Jane cried. She never cried before. So I had to stay with her the whole night. I had to take care of the kids. I can't be with you Kirst. But if you wait I will surely be there. I love you.

I head Paloma and Jane coming. They each ahd ice cream in their hands.

J:Sorry. They insisted that they have to stay with you. So this was their distraction.
M: It's alright.

Jane and Paloma came clunging to me. I held them and kissed their cheeks.

P: Please don't leave us

My eyes widened at her words.

M:What do you mean?
P:I know you are missing mommy but please don't leave us!
J:Yes daddy!

They both started crying and my mind went blank. They knew. They kmew what was going on. So I hugged them tightly.

M: Don't worry sweethearts. I will never ever leave you.
P:Really?
M: Yes I won't I promise.

Their cries softened. I looked at Jiin who was on the verge of crying.

M:Kids let's get back home.

I held my Paloma's hand and held Jane in my arms.

M:Say bye to Mommy
P:Bye Mommy
J:Bubye mommy.

I slowly walked with the girls. I thought to myself.

I love you Kirst
But I have to take care of the girls.
So just wait. We will meet again in the future.
