Chapter 39 || Awkward Day Back

I park Macie, get my backpack and put my phone into it. I get out and shut the door. I lock Macie and put her keys into my backpack. I walk up to the entrance and once again, I get weird looks. Graduation is on Friday and it's Monday. I get all of my grades back this week, I'm thinking of going to Art school instead of College.

I walk down the halls to my locker and just as I turn a corner I bump into what feels like a brick wall. I look up to see who it is. Mr Soon To Be CEO.
"Ah hi" I say awkwardly. Did he go to a gym because he has become more muscular.
"Long time no see" he says smirking.
"Yeah.." I trail off looking behind him, there stands the one and only Sydney Rodgers.
"Sydney" I nod and she glares.

I step back.
"See you around" I say and rush off. I've never done that before. Why did I panic ? I'm so freaking stupid. I mentally face palm myself and walk over to my locker. I unlock it and grab out my schedule.

Crap. I sigh and put my schedule back I take out my books for class one and two this morning. I shut my locker and walk to chemistry. FanF*ckingTastic.

I get to the classrooms and the door is shut. I decided to just walk in anyway. I hear moaning from under the teachers desk. I turn around and shut the door quietly. I stand next to the door and cringe. Bloody hell. I hear talking from inside and then the door suddenly opens and a girl walks off. The door closes and steps past is Toby.

WHAT THE F*CK ?!

He stops when he sees me.
"Laylani" he says shocked and amazed. Amazed, what ?
"Toby" I say try to fake smile.
"So, you were-" he says.
"Yeah" I say cutting him off.
"Oh" he says awkwardly.
"Just go" I say.
"Yeah, it's ummm.. Good to see you" he says but hesitates to finish.
"You look great" he says. I blush and rush in into the classroom trying not to touch the door handle. I rush over to my seat in the back corner that I claimed that was Raffs. I sit and relax.
"Ew ew ew ew ewwy" I shiver dramatically and cringe. I lay my head down on the table and cover my face with the sleeves of my jumper.

Awkward.

I watch Laylani rush over to a seat in the corner on the classroom and she mutters something then cringes and covers her face with her sleeves and rests her head on the table.

I miss her. I really do. But I can't help but feel attracted to Scarlett.

[ Wink Wink. Remember Scarlett ? ]

I walk down the hall to my first class. I walk past a set of Windows that look over the car park. I spot Raff and Sydney. I can't believe he's dating that overexposing barbie. What does he see in her ? And it surprises that they are still dating. I thought Sydney was just a use for his sexual pleasure. Obviously not. Maybe he's just using her to get to somebody ? But who ? Nah, maybe she's paying him to be her boyfriend. That's most probably the answer.

I walk into my classroom and half the class is full. I take my seat in the back row earning all unwanted eyes. I ignore it and sit down.

I should just skip. But since it's Monday. I should stay.
