Chapter 18 || Raffs Whipped

Toby and I walk into the warehouse and we walk upstairs to the main room. We walk in and everyone is sitting down talking.

When I mean 'everyone' I mean, Brodie Hensley, Austin Smith, Dominic Jiaah, Jace Ryleigh and Jooey Ryder. We aren't a gang but we are group of really close friends that like to get into a little trouble.

Toby and I are both 18 years old, Brodie and Dominic are 25, Austin is 26 and Jooey is 20. As you can tell Toby and I are the youngest. It's annoying but age here doesn't matter.

Anyway, they all turn their attention to us. Austin decided to be the first to break the silence.
"Look who decides to show up" he smirks.

This isn't going to go well..

• || Laylanis P.O.V || •

I've been driving around and I have decided that I'm going to call Heather to see if she wants to hang out for a few hours.

I dial her phone number, she answers on the second ring.
"Hey" she says.
"Hey, you doing anything ?" I ask.
"No, why ?" She asks.
"Wanna hang out somewhere ?" I ask.
"Yeah, where though ?" She asks.
"At a ice-cream parlour if I can find one" I say putting my car into park.
"Sure, where abouts are you now ?" She asks.
"I'm out the front of a lighting store ?" I say and it comes out more of a question.
"Oh okay, the parlour isn't far away from one, I'll see you soon" she says hanging up.

I put up my navigator app to find a ice-cream parlour near by.

There's one atleast 5 minutes.

I put my car into drive and push down the handbrake.

Let's roll.

I pull up to the parlour and park out the back. It's not so busy here which is good. I get out and lock Macie. I walk up to the building and enter. Immediately the chilli air and sweetness fills my nose causing me to sneeze.
"Bless you" a person in front of me says. I look up to see a old man.
"Thankyou" I say sniffling.
"You're welcome, what can I get for you ?" He asks. I walk up to the ice-cream.
"Could I please get the Rainbow and Mango and Macadamia ice-cream in a...small cup" I say looking over at the sizes of the cups.
"Anything else ?" He asks.
"No Thankyou" I say politely.
"$2.50" he says smiling. I hand him over the money and he passes me my ice-cream.
"Enjoy" he says.
"Thankyou" I say turning around.

I spot a booth in the corner. I walk over and sit down. I put my feet up to rest on the seat across from me. I dig into my ice-cream but get interrupted by the sound of the door bell ringing. I look over to see Heather. I smile and she smiles back and walks over to me.
"Hey" she says.
"Hey, I was going to get you some ice-cream but I didn't know how long you were going to be and the ice-cream may have melted by the time you came" I sitting putting my feet down from the seat and sit back up straight.
"It's okay, I'm not hungry anyway" she says sitting across from me.
"You sure ?" I ask.
"Yep" she says nodding.
"I've got a few hours to kill before this date I have with Raffael" I say not looking up to meet her eyes.
"WHAT ?!" She practically yells.
"Shhhhhh, I have a date thing with Raff only because I had to help him find a few shirts to get at Ralph Lauren a couple of days ago" I whisper.
"Oh okay, so what are we going to do in these few hours ?" She asks.
"Dunno, I don't need clothes I have plenty of nice clothes at home" I say.
"Okay... How about.. Looking for apartments since we graduate this year" she suggests shrugging.
"I'm not 18 yet" I say looking up at her.
"When's your birthday ?" She asks.
"In 2 weeks" I say.
"What day ?" She asks.
"21st" I say.
"Okay, we can still look for apartments or condos can't we ?" She asks.
"Why not" I say shrugging.

She pulls out her phone and I do too.

Let's get searching.

• || Raffaels P.O.V || •

After the huge lecture from Austin, we all decide to go out and practice shooting out of town. We went in 2 different cars, mine and Jooeys.

I pass the Goodbye sign and let out a sigh.
"So, Raff I hear that you have a girl in your hands at the moment" Brodie says from behind me.
"Yeah" I say.
"Who is she, details" he says.
"Her name is Laylani Georgia, she's... I don't how old but she's in senior year like Toby and I, do I have to tell you what she looks like ?" I say looking at him in the rear mirror.
"What's she like, personality" he says looking back at me through the rear mirror.
"She's nice, fiesty, stubborn, arrogant, cocky sometimes, she's generous, caring and...." I trail off looking away.
"And..." Brodie says.
"And... Smart" I say quickly. Brodie let's out a laugh and grins. I roll my eyes.

I pull up to the shooting range and park out the front next to Jooeys car. We get out and I lock the car I look up at the guys and they are all smirking at me except for Toby and Jace.
"What ?" I ask confused.
"Raffs whipped" they say. I scoff and walk into the building. I look around to see that there is hardly anyone here. I head over to the counter.
"Hey, could I get 6 ranges" I ask.
"Sure, how many hours/minutes would you like ?" The guy at the counter asks.
"Around an hour, if less or longer we'll let you know" I say handing him the money.
"Thankyou, here's your tags" he says sliding the tags over.
"Thanks" I say turning around.

The guys walk in and still smirk at me. I chuck them each a tag and walk into the ranges.

I find a range and pick up safety glasses and a pistol. I walk over to the standing point and start shooting when the guys are ready.
