I woke up well rested. For the first time since the party I got full night's sleep. I slid out of bed and opened the glass doors to the balcony, the same purple light shined throughout the mountain range; this view would never cease to amaze me. I couldn't tell what time of day it was though. The sun never came and went, just this constant purple orb in the sky that never seemed to move. I couldn't help but feel I was a long way away from Massachusetts. A soft knock on the door interrupted my thoughts so I walked over to the door and opened it.

"Good morning." Lily said as she barged through me and into my room. She seemed to be in a very peppy mood and I wasn't sure if that was a good thing.

"We have to get you showered and dressed. We are meeting Ari in Alabo in two hours." She stated as she opened my closet door.

"Don't bother its empty." I told her.

She shook her head at me and grinned.

"Not anymore, have you learned nothing about my powers?" She closed the door and opened it again, this time when she opened it the closet was filled with colorful clothes, shoes, hats, coats, scarfs and more.

"Holey shit lily!" this time I barged through her and started shifting through the closet.

I was a little disappointed after a few minutes of trying to find something to wear.

"Can you do that magic trick again? These are not the type of clothes I would normally wear." I looked at her like a kid asking for a candy bar at the store.

"You can't dress like a high school kid anymore Nat, you're a royal and you need to dress like one if you are to be taken seriously." She replied.

"Here, try this on." She handed me a red laced dress that cut off right at the knees. It was beautiful but it looked like something I would wear to a wedding not to a meeting.

"Fine" I grunted and took the dress to the bathroom.

After I showered she helped me pick out a pair of matching heels and coat. I sat on the floor in front of the bed so she could braid my hair. She told me all about Alabo and how magnificent of a city it once was.

"It's different now, you know. There are no festivals, or schools or any type of happiness. It was once the greatest kingdom of vampires to ever exist. Vampires co-existed with all the other supernatural beings until King Aaron turned them against each other. Most vamps fled to the human world, and those who stayed keep to themselves." Her peppy mood from earlier was gone as she spoke about her fallen city.

"Why did Aaron turn them against each other?" I asked

"King Aaron believes vampires are the most superior, he thinks it is beneath us to share our kingdom with them. He has convinced many that vampires are like Gods and must be treated as such." She finished braiding my hair and helped me to my feet.

I walked over to the mirror on the wall and it took my breath away. I didn't even recognize the girl standing before me. She was... I mean I was .... Beautiful.

"Wow, Lilly you really know how to makeover an ugly duckling." I laughed.

The dress fit me perfectly, hugging my curves in all the right places. I didn't even know I had curves. My hair was braided to one side making me look mature beyond my years. I looked like a grown woman, not a high school kid. I finished admiring myself in the mirror and turned towards Lily.
