Lily scarfed down the spaghetti I made and indeed did have two pieced of garlic bread.

She was helping me with the dishes when a faint ringing starting going off by the couch.

"Oh snap, my phone." Lily threw the towel at me and dodged towards the couch.

"Phone!?" I snapped.

They had a phone the whole time, how have I not noticed that. I could have called my mom and at least told her I wasn't dead. Then again it was probably better if she thought I was dead, if she knew I was alive she would never stop looking for me and I didn't want that for her. But I was still upset that they had cell phones and didn't tell me.

I finished up the last dish and turned towards lily who was listening impatiently to the other person over the phone. Her express fell and her mouth hung open in shock. Her black eyes were huge she looked at me until our eyes held gaze. She was staring right at me like I was a ghost.

"No Ari I can't, please." She begged.

She was talking to Ari, about what? And why did she look so scared?

"Just teleport back here, you can do it faster. I don't have a potion on me; I can't leave the penthouse with her. What do I do? Tell me! What do I do Ari?" she was frantic, her gaze fell and she started looking around the Apartment as if searching for a way out.

"Ok, YAH, I got it. Please hurry though." She said as she closed her phone and slid it in her pocket.

"What's going on Lily? " I asked

"Grab the heaviest jacket you can find. We need to leave. Now!" Her voice scared me, I didn't have time to ask why, my body was already moving towards my room.

Something was happening, something bad enough to have Lily in a full pan panic attack. I grabbed the first jacket I saw in the closet. It was a puffy black north face and I ran back to the living room.

"Ari hasn't fed in days; he is too weak to teleport back here. One of the king's scouts saw him in town asking witches about an immortal spell. The king and his knights are on their way here to confront Ari's suspicious activity. We need to get you far away from this Apartment or were both dead. "She grabbed the clean dishes and threw them in the cupboard than made her way to my room. She stepped inside and like a fairy godmother waved her hands and chanted some Latin words I didn't understand making everything in the room vanished.

"Hey!" I let out a small sigh of disapproval

"They can't find a trace of you, it's just hidden but it's all still here, now let's go!" She grabbed my hand and flung me to her side, dragging me to the elevator. She pulled out her key and the elevator began its way up to us.

Lily leaned over me and took a deep breath, sniffing the air around me.

"Fuck, you have maybe an hour before the potion wears off and your human scent comes back along with your royal one. How the fuck could Ari be so careless and put us at risk like this." She scowled.

"Where are we going?" I probed starting to feel the panic set in.

"He told me to take you to the mountain top, the air is dense there and your scent will be hard to track. You need to stay exactly where I leave you. Ok Nat?" She grilled.

I nodded in agreement.

"I can't stay with you, Ari will need me as an alibi, but we will be back to get you as soon as we can. Stay hidden and stay warm." She snatched me into her arms and gave me a tight squeeze.

I was really getting scared now, the way she was acting was like she was never going to see me again and my heart started hammering at the thought of losing her.
