Chapter XI : Welcome !

Astrid's POV

I was about to pass out. Hayden is so amazing. He just chuckled as he saw me blushing. Then he laid next to me. It was about 5am, we had enough sleep for today. And sun is rising, slowly.

Good thing mom will be back in one or two weeks, I can do what I want.....And I spoke too soon.

It was too good to last. I saw a woman, as tall as mom, as large as mom, carrying a heavy suitcase. I have a bad feeling about this. She got closer and closer. And I only realised that she is my mother.

I just face palmed myself, and suddenly she stopped, right few meters away from the gate and unconsciously, I ran to her.

- Mom ! I missed you so much ! I said hugging her tight.
- Oh darling, I missed you too. And how many times did I told you, you can't bring your boyfriend home.
- MOM ! I glared at her.

Hayden stood up and I ran to him for help, and he said
- Hi ma'am ! My name's Hayden Haddock and Astrid and I study in the same class. And he leaned forward and kissed her hand. Gentleman !
- You picked up a nice boyfriend Honey ! (Speaking to Hayden) But why are you all covered in scars and bruises, did she do that to you ?
- No it's a long story. He said scratching the back of his neck. He's so hot !
- Oh ! Why are we here ? Let's get inside. She said.

I helped Hayden to get back and back to mom to help her with the suitcase. It was heavier than I remember, maybe it's full of gifts.

Mom took a shower, wore her clothes then called me
- Asty ? I was sitting on the couch with Hayden, leaning my head on his shoulder.
- Yeah mom ?
- Come here would you ? She said in a very friendly tone.
- I'll be with you in a second. I said and made my way upstairs while Hayden would wait for me downstairs. My mom was sitting at the edge of her bed, wearing a simple brown-ish dress, with her hair in a bun. She patted the place next to her with her hand montioning me to sit. I sat next to her and just smiled and she just smiled back. Then I thought about it a little more...... Oh no ! This is one of her mother and daughter talks again.
- Look at you Asty you have grown to be such a beautiful girl. And now you have a boyfriend. I am so proud of you ! She said while giving me a big bear hug. This is one of the most awkward moments ever ! But I also remember, Hayden never 'properly' asked me to be his girlfriend. But I didn't want to mention that to my mom. Who knows what she'll do to him ?!
- Ya Hayden is a really nice guy. I said trying to break free from her hug.
- But just remember, boys can sometimes be real jerks so I won't let him break your heart Ok ? She said staring to be a little more serious...
- Dont worry, I won't. Said a voice coming from the door. We both turned around and saw Hayden. His back was against the edge of the door. And he gave us a crooked smile that I always love.
- Mrs. Hofferson your daughter is an Amazing girl and she means more to me than anything in the world, and I wouldn't want to hurt her in anyway possible. He said coming closer and closer to me. He then grabbed me by waist and gave me a warm smile. I just stared at his hypnotyzing emerald eyes. But then our moment had to be ruined by my mother. JEEZ !! Thanks mom you're the best.
- Well uh...don't you both have school today? She asked us.
- Ya we do, but Hayden has to stay at home cause he is still healing so I'll go by myself. I said knowing Hayden needs to rest. I dragged Hayden down stairs and told him to stay in my house since my mom can take care of him 'til I come back.
- Dont worry Hayden, I'll be back in no time Ok ? I said to him while giving him a kiss on the cheek.
- You missed. He said while pointing to his lips. Then before I could say anything he grabbed me by the waist and kissed me on the lips passionately. I then quickly wrapped my hands around his neck, and his remained locked to my waist. But then I pulled back remembering that I don't wanna be late for school again.
- Come back soon ! He said in sad voice. I nodded, and took my backpack from the table and went out throughout the front door.

I just looked at the sun rising then took a deep breath of fresh air and started walking peacefully to school. Today I gotta get Hayden somehow to his house, or I can get the decorations to my house !? I don't know.
