-Samantha's Pov-
The house was quiet, and it was an foreign feeling knowing everyone was asleep in the broad daylight. I decided to train myself with the water I was neglecting to drink to pass the ongoing time that consisted only of me breathing and blinking.
I cleared my head of all my thoughts, focusing on the clear substance with a glance, feeling the energy surge through my veins.
I closed my eyes and I gestured my hand to the left, as I heard the splash of water against the wall, causing me to flinch slightly as I felt some sprinkle onto my feet. "Whoops." I muttered. "Too much power."
I looked at the water and I picked it back off the floor and wall and made it go back into the glass with the simple movement of my eyes, saving me the time to clean it with a towel. "The joys of water bending." I laughed to myself.
I grabbed the glass and I dropped it instantly, feeling the arctic touch of ice form. "What the..?" I started, crouching down to the floor to get a closer glance.
I examined the shards on the glass, seeing ice engulf all the pieces, making me step back.
My hands started to tremble, as I found a new ability within me, but my mind couldn't control it.
Most superheroes do get to branch off of their abilities, such as Stormzy did when he had the ability to change seasons, not only the weather. For me, it has only happened to me once when I received my healing ability, which was just a minor change.
Taming the new abilities are harder to tame than when we were first born. The power they held were unsteady and powerful. The lift of a pinky could destroy an entire city if you weren't cautious enough.
I felt the frost starting to form around the palms of my hand, and I was freaking. I needed Cara here, she was the only one who knew what to do. She would probably engineer a pair of gloves for me to wear until I knew how to contain the cold.
I thought of warm thoughts that made me feel nice and warm, which was summer beaches, s'mores, and the feeling I received when I brisk my hand against Simon's on accident since we sat so close to each other in the work room.
My phone vibrated in my pocket, and Cara was calling me. "What's going on?" I asked, pulling my phone close to my ear, still focusing on the frost that started to make small crackling noises against the surface of my phone.
"We have a major rooftop heist going on over at HSBC Headquarters. Like the ones in GTA." She said, as I could hear her rushing at her keyboards.
"That's one of the tallest buildings in all of London! How am I meant to get there so fast with Amy and Taz sleeping?" I said, running my fingers through my messy hair.
She thought for a second. "Just use the water to float yourself up there." She suggested.
"Doing that stuff isn't as easy as it sounds." I mumbled. "But it is worth the shot."
"Good luck!" She said, before I could tell her about how I was the new Elsa.
I sprank myself out of the room, rushing down into the basement were we hid all of our supersuits.
~~~
The building stood in front of me, and I held onto my bag close to me since my supersuit was hidden inside, holding my hand up against the blood scanner.
A guard that stood near the stairway looked me up and down, and his eyes darted down to my bag. "Excuse me, miss. Can we see this?"
"It's fine. It is just some paperwork I have to give to the head leader for an interview I did with them." I smiled innocently.
