-Sam's Pov-

I stood in the treehouse that was the Sidemen lair. It was small, but unique in the sense it was open but hidden at the same time. It was a man cave for them, seeing the trash piled up in one corner, and food littered in another. But it was tech saavy.

It many housed the set up for Pansophy. It was beautiful, even compared to Cara's set up. It was the only neat part of the treehouse. The books were piled straight on a bookshelf, wires being perfectly symmetrical to one another, and his monitors on his computer set-up were clean, not being overwritten with tabs everywhere.

Simon told me the Sidemen were willing to give the team up a try. Although, Detonate wasn't fond of the idea. When I was knocked out, Simon and him haven't been on good terms, since he knew that get closer with me emotionally meant sacrificing himself, and he wasn't willing to do that.

I sat in Pansophy's chair, waiting impatiently for Simon to come back up with his team and reveal myself to them. My hands rubbed against the arm rests, trying to ease my nerves, as I felt the thoughts build onto my anxiety.

They were giving up so much for this. They were taking something that gave them protection from the world, and I was destroying their safety. Everything I was afraid of is what they are afraid and I didn't know if this was the right way to approach the situation, but I went with it anyway.

I heard the movement from below the tree, and I jumped, awaking myself from my thoughts. I stood up, holding my arm to try to relieve some stress, but the stress built as I heard the sounds get louder and louder, causing my nails to dig into my skin as I felt my pulse grow stronger the tighter I latched on.

Simon was the first at the top, seeing his brown hair sticking up gave me some relieve as he gave me a friendly smile as he climbed through. "Its okay." He mouthed to me.

I loosened my grip on my arm, relieving the pressure from my arm as I felt my blood flow regularly from the pressure that was on it.

As they began to come through, they all wore their supersuits. First was Repel, Juncture, Rewire, Tank, and then Pansophy who had a device to alter his face since he didn't technically have a suit. The all stood in a line, as if they wanted it to be in chronological order.

I started with Repel, who gripped the sides of the mask before removing it. "Ethan Payne."

And then the rest did it, saying their names as they went on. "Josh Bradley."

"Vikk Barn."

"Olajide Olatunji. Or JJ."

"Tobi Brown."

I stood there, taking in all their faces. It was like meeting you celebrity idols, and it was frightful but relieving. "Samantha Young. Or Sam." I said, looking at JJ, telling him I had a nickname too.

Ethan laughed at my glare. "And that laugh you will never stop hearing." Josh told me.

"Can't lie. It is a decent laugh." I said, slightly giggling, when the others joined in.

Simon made eye contact with me, making me blush slightly, causing me to cover my face with my hand. I noticed he had a similar redness in his cheeks, but he didn't cover it because I knew he didn't notice.

I looked back. Studying the names and the faces, I connected them with each other. But JJ randomly called out, causing me to lose my focus.

"Since you have water powers, does this mean you can make anyone wet?" He asked.

"I do that already." I smirked at him.

Josh came by me, grabbed my shoulder, smiled. "She is one of us." He said, making me feel included.
