-Samantha's Pov-

I jumped up and down as Cara handed me a stunning ring that would potentially prevent my ice powers from going haywire.

"It is so pretty." I examined, looking at the refections on the light blue and green crystal that laid on top of the silver wire.

She lowered the ring from my face, making my attention gravitate towards her. "This is Labradorite. The minerals in the small crystal when against your skin will weaken the arctic elements in your blood, making it tamed." She said, finally telling me something with words I did know.

"What about my water powers?" I asked, looking at the crystal again, worried my other powers were in danger of the weakening minerals.

She pulled up a glass of water from the counter, and nodded her head, acknowledging me to practice.

The water floated with ease as I looked at it, not moving a single muscle but my eye. "Nevermind." I commented, realizing that it was nowhere close to weakened. "Can I see if my ice powers work better now?"

She laid the glass onto the table. "Go ahead Elsa." She said, preparing in case the ring didn't work.

I gave her a small glare at the nickname, but turned back to the glass. I focused a little bit harder that I did the water, and the crisp crackle of ice filled my ears.

The once clear glass was now opaque, having condensation dripping off the side, leaving a ring of water surround it onto the marble table.

"There we go." She smiled, lightly. "Now you just have to get used to using it, and you won't need the ring."

I looked at it back on my finger, and adjusted the ring, a weak smile came across my lips as my focus went back to Simon.

"What is it?" Cara asked.

I looked up, focusing my eyes back onto her. "Just work. Everyone isn't acting normal. Especially Simon."

"I've noticed." She whispered quietly. "He seems a little scared of you. If not guarded."

I raise my eyebrow at her, a bit thrown of by her way of thought. "What is that suppose to mean?" I ask.

She shrugged her shoulders at me. "Well, the usual stare he would give you isn't the same. His usual routine for you is grinning ear to ear. But now it has inquisitiveness."

I twirled my hand in a circle, gesturing her to explain. "It means curiosity." She said, rolling her eyes.

I turned away, leaning against the kitchen island drowning in my own thoughts as if it was my own water suffocating me.

She pointed at my face, as if she found what she was looking for. "Yes!" She exclaimed. "He looks just like that!"

I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "But why the sudden change? I spent one day with him. Then everything is different?" I asked, puzzled.

Cara laid her hands near mine, facing me. "I may be a little bit of a genius, but if I understood what boys did, I would tell you." She assured.

From what she told me, I knew that she had nothing else to tell me about the subject. She stared at me for a second before walking out, making sure that I knew that it was time to stop worrying about it.

I sat, playing with my new ring, spinning it around my finger in boredom, searching around the kitchen for something to entertain me.

Amy zoomed by, grabbing something in the fridge, most likely the Nandos we got yesterday. "Hey Sam I am." She said, calling me by a Dr. Seuss name that I couldn't stand.
