-Simon's Pov-

I stared at an empty can of red bull, laying down on my desk that neglected to roll onto the floor or be thrown in the trash, along with the other clutter that covered the surface of the table.

My mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, each thought blowing past me. I couldn't bring myself to hold onto one without it flowing out of my grasp as I was engulfed in this neverending loop of confusion.

The growling of my stomach made everything worse since I haven't had a proper appetite all day, neglecting every plate the guys placed in front of me because I didn't feel in the mood to eat with the thoughts preoccupying my time.

"Hey Simon?" Josh asked, making me look up in the direction of his voice away from the aluminum can.

He stood at the door, head peering out with the look of concern staining his face. "Yeah?"

He walked in with caution. "How you feeling?"

I looked down, knowing he was aware of my off mood. "Confused." I started, knowing that the single word couldn't complete the emotions running around my mind. "And a little hungry."

"I've noticed from the weather." He leaned slighty onto the wall, his arms crossed. "Usually when you get confused, the wind will pick up. Tobi keeps complaining about it in the treehouse." He laughed, trying to make me ease my thoughts with some humor.

I smiled weakly. "Whoops." I mumbled, looking off to the side as I released a small breath.

He sighed lightly. "I know that you figured out who Samantha really is."

I smiled weakly, remembering that he has traveled to several periods of time, knowing history of the future and past like the back of his hand.

"It is just crazy." I said, running my fingers through my hair in distress. "I thought that I knew a lot about her. The last person I thought she would be is Hyde."

The small qualities of her were unnoticed, her favorite drink was always water, she avoided swimming, and her inability to never get a scar were all factors.

He took a seat next to me, laying his hand on my shoulder. "The best people hide who they really are, under their mask or behind their emotions. You just have to find the hidden pieces to reveal the truth."

"But she doesn't know who I am under it all." I whispered.

He turned me towards him. "Who are you then?"

My mind stopped, making me trying to find an answer. "I am Simon. A guy who controls the weather."

The sarcastic tone in my voice was visible, having his head tilt at me in displease.

He shook his head. "Not that. What are you here?" He said, poking me in the heart.

I groaned. "What does this do?" I swatted his finger away from my chest.

"Just bare with me." He said, holding his hands together, nearly pleading.

I rolled my eyes. "I am Simon Edward Minter. When I smile, the sun will shine. When I am upset, the clouds darken and it will rain. My emotions are what make the weather." I suggested, looking up at Josh.

He nodded, telling me to keep going. "Underneath a mask isn't what defines me or the name. What I do with them does. I try to turn this city into something better. When I am around Sam, the powers in my blood will go haywire. My mind confuses my left and my right and I say embarrassing things. I even told her I wanked on a Segway."
