You stay in your box, You put me on a shelf,
Yes you, Yes you,
Stay there. Put me there.
I watch you You observe me
Like small children Like young girls
Watch television people. Observe china dolls.
"How sad he must be," "How sad she must be,"
Thought the child; Thought the girl;
“He is stuck in the screen.” “She is too fragile to play with.”
You wait and wait I wait and wait
For the scene For my mind
To change. To change.
You claim to be a realist, I claim to be a rationalist,
But you don't live in reality. But I can’t govern my rationale.
Your world is made of pixels. My world is made of porcelain.
Little squares of faded colors, A rigid mass of brittle life,
Maybe it's time Maybe it’s time
You changed the channel. I let you in.
