Chapter 23

I walk around trying to find Harry.

I want to go home before Jessica or Riley spot me and decide to beat me up behind the bleachers.

I see dark brown hair and run over to it, Harry looks confused to see my presence but then smiles.

"Rumor is going around that Jessica is paying Riley to date her and fuck her."

I burst out laughing, this is hilarious.

Harry wraps his arms around me into a tight hug then kisses my forehead.

"I may or may not have started the rumor."

I move away and look at him, a smug smile is across his face.

"Wait how'd you get it to spread?"

I ask.

I heard a few people talking about it when walking through the halls and the fact Harry started it makes me laugh.

Harry must have a lot of resources to be able to get a rumor spreading.

Which means if we get into a fight he-

Oh my god.

What if Harry had started the rumor about us being fuck buddies?

My stomach flips over and my throat swells up.

It was him.

"Harry did you start the rumor of us in high school?" I ask.

Harry rolls his eyes. "I already told you it wasn't me, yes I started this Jessica rumor but not that!"

I sigh. I believed him years ago and I still do, whether or not he's lying it doesn't matter.

"Anyways, Lets get out of this place."

Harry takes my small hand in his and we walk through the string of cars that leads to his.

He starts driving when his phone starts vibrating on the dashboard.

I pull it off and read the screen.

"Incoming call from Mum"

I turn the radio off and Harry tries taking the phone from me but I explain how he needs to be driving.

I press the green button and put it on speaker for Harry.

"Mum I'm driving." He snaps.

I glare at him. "Harry be nice." I whisper.

"Harry honey we miss you- who's in the car with you?"

Harry sighs. "Ella is."

I almost laugh because Anne only saw me as the girl Harry drove around.

And I'm in the car with him, like usual.

"Hello Ella we miss you as well!" She sounds even sweeter than I can remember.

"I miss you guys too, I uh should let you talk to Harry like you wanted to."

"No no It's not confidential or anything, I just wanted to say that Ruth and I plus the family, would be visiting you tomorrow, we just need an address-"

"Mum you should have told us sooner."

I nearly launch myself out of the car, realizing it wouldn't do any good because we're parked in the apartment parking lot.

Harry takes the phone from me and exits the car.

Harry quickly walks over to my side and opens the door for me.
