Luke's POV

"Damnit." I mutter

I rush inside and look for Cassie. "Hey where's Cass?" I ask Tilly

"Um, I'm not sure. But, do you want to dance?" She asks batting her eye lashes.

"I'm really not in the mood Tilly. I need to talk to Cassie." I say pushing pass her and looking for Heather.

"Heather! Uh hey, you know where Cassie is?" I ask

"She's in the bathroom. I think." She says and points to the upstairs bathroom.

"Thank you." I say and rush up the stairs. I see there's a long line at the bathroom. "Hey who's in there?" I ask the girl at the door

The blonde says, "Some guy."

Okay Cassie NOT a guy. Look in my room and see that the bathroom light is on. I smile and trudge over. I hear puking noises and knock on the door. "Cass? Are you in there?"

"LUKE! Come in here, please." She sounds awful

I hurry and open the door. She's leaning over the toilet. I sit next to her and pat her back. When she looks up, I see that she's been crying.

"Hey hey hey, what's wrong?"

She sniffles and flushes the toilet. She sits back and cries some more. "I saw Brandon here."

Brandon was this guy on the team who she went out with a few times. She had a huge crush on him. "And..?"

She sniffles. "He was...making out with some red head. I really liked him Luke and he knew that."

My hand automatically balls into a fist. "That dick."

"I don't know what to do Luke. Am I not pretty enough?" She looks at me with soft eyes

I chuckle lightly. "Are you seriously asking that Cass? You're beautiful. You awesome and fun. He's stupid for making out with that red head and not spending time with you. It's one guy, Cass. If he did that and knew you had feelings for him then I guess he was the wrong guy to fall for."

She smiles and hugs me. "Thank you Luke. You're the most amazing friend ever."

I smile and wrap an arm around her. "You're the amazing friend. Are you okay?"

She nods. "My head hurts like crazy though."

"You can lay down in my bed." I say

"Luke?"

I look at her. "Yeah?"

She laughs. "Can you carry me?"

I smile. "Sure Drunk Girl."

She hits me and I help her up. I then carry her bridal style to my bed. I lay her down and I take a seat beside her.

"Luke, can you stay with me?" She asks wiping her tears

I nod. "Yeah. Scoot over."

She does and I scoot next to her. I put an arm around her and she scoots in laying her head on my chest.

She begins crying again. "It hurts Luke."

"What does?" I ask

"Everything." She cries some more

"Don't cry. I know how you feel. I'm kinda hurting right now." I admit knowing she'll probably forget it by tomorrow.

She stops crying. "Really?"

"Yeah."

"Why?"

I sigh. "Brooke."

"What about her?"

"I don't know how I feel anymore."

"You love her, don't you?" She asks

"I used to. I was in love with her."

"What happened?"

"She moved. That crushed me. I hated her for awhile. I did last week." I sigh

"But...?"

"Now that I see her, it's the complete opposite. I don't know what's wrong with me. One minute I hate her and then the next, I'm right back to loving her."

"I think you should fight for her..." She says quietly

"Really?"

"Mhmmm..."

"I don't know. It's not that simple Cass. If you were in her shoes, how would you feel?"

She doesn't respond.

"Cass?"

I then hear light snores. I smile and rub her arm. "Night Cass."
