Chapter 21

Luke's POV

"Alright. I know things have been awkward between all three of us," I say as I sit down in front of the two.

We were in the lunch room and I, dare I say it, sat down at the hockey table. The pucks all stared at me with confusion. Same with the football players at my table. Oh yeah along with the entire cafeteria.

"So can we all start over? Us three? Like for real?" I ask

Ashton and Brooke look at each other. Finally Brooke looks back at me. "Really?"

"Really. I just think-" I started

"Hey guys. Luke, what are you doing?" Calum asks curiously

"I just wanted to apologize to Ashton." I say

"What?" Ashton and Calum asks

Brooke smiles. "Really?"

"Yeah," I smile, "look Ashton, I'm sorry man. For everything. Brooke's really important to me and even though were going through things right now, she still is. So, I'm apologizing for everything. Can we be friends?"

Brooke smiles. I miss her smile. "You're serious?" Ashton asks astounded

"Yeah." I say

"Okay. Okay, we're good. Look I'm sorry too for everything." Ashton says

"So we're good?" I ask

"Yeah." Ashton says

I smile at the two and walk away with Cal at my side. He soon pulls me to the side. "What the hell was that?! I thought you hated him."

"Well, I'm gonna try to be friends with them." I say looking at Brooke

"You're doing for her, huh?" He asks

"Yeah. Look, I need her in my life Calum. I don't care if I have to be friends with Puckhead. I really need her Calum." I say

He gives me sympathetic eyes."Well you're not in it by yourself. I'm going to stick with you Man."

I smile. "Really?"

"Yeah. You're my best mate Luke." Calum says

We walk back to the table where everyone is astounded. They all stare with wide eyes and open mouths. "What?" I ask

"You and Puckhead? Friends? Good luck with that." Justin snorts

"Why are you being his friend?" Owen asks everyone looking at me still.

"I just don't want to be rivals anymore..."

Tilly snorts. "Right. I'm gonna go bye guys."

"I don't think she's taking your breakup very well." James says

"Yeaaaah...." I say worried

What if she tells Brooke? Oh man.
