Chapter 18

Luke's POV

"Luke?" Tilly asks

"Huh?" We were currently at the ice rink. Apparently, it was a fantastic idea. Guess who suggested it? Brooke.

I sigh. She still hasn't really notice me. I guess her and Ashton really hit it off. Right now I'm sitting at a table watching Brooke and Ashton be all coupley and sweet and ew.

"Hello?!" Tilly yells

"Huh?" I repeat

"You aren't listening, are you?" She stands up on her skates and walks away.

"Tilly...I'm sorry." I say

"What's the matter with you? Every time were in public you just zone me out. We're dating, aren't we?" She asks

"Yes of course. I'm sorry I'm just tired. Come on let's skate." I say

She sighs and follows.

Since Brooke been dating Ashton things have been slightly less intense between us and the hockey players. Doesn't me we all like each other but we're all able to tolerate each other.

Once we get on the ice, I take Tilly's hand and skated with her. Tilly wasn't that bad, honestly. She was just really clingy around everybody.

"Okay. Confession time. I've never skated before.." She says smiling shyly

I chuckle. "It's alright. Here I'll skate backwards and you just hold on."

I take both her hands and began skating backwards as she tried moving forward. I can see that Ashton was doing the same with Brooke and that caught me off guard a bit. She looked so cu-

"Luke!!" I ran into one of the walls and I guess I let go of Tilly. She ended up falling.

Everyone draws their attention to Tilly. "I'm so sorry." I help her up

"It's fine. I'm gonna go sit with Heather." She says annoyed.

I sigh. "Hey guys." I say to Justin and Owen

"Oh man. This still surprises me."Owen looks at Tilly.

"Yeah. I thought you didn't like the girl." Justin says

I shrug." She's alright."

"Whatever man." Justin says and skates off to some some girls standing in the corner.

Soon, Ashton and Brooke skated over hand in hand. "Hey Luke." Brooke says sweetly

"Hey." I say

"Hey." Ashton says

I force a smile ."Sup."

Things get a little awkward. "So where's Tilly?" Brooke asks

"With Heather. She needed a break." I say

"Oh I see." Brooke says

"Okay well I'm gonna go talk to Cass for a bit. Be nice." She says and skates off to where Cassie is.

"I'm only being nice because of her." Ashton says

"Same. I still could care less about you and your puck brothers." I retort

"Funny. You do still care about her though." He looks back at Brooke.

"And? She is my best friend." I say

"Was your best friend."

"Shut it."

He throw his hands in the air. "Hey you kind of put it on yourself. I know you're jealous Luke but she's my girlfriend."

"Shut the hell up Irwin!" I step up

"Make me Hemmings!" He yells pushing me back

"I leave you for literally 2 minutes and you're all ready going to rip each other's heads off?!" Brooke yells

"He started it." I say

"No I didn't it. Can you not be self centered just for a little bit or does everything have to be about you?" Ashton says

"That's it! You're going down Irwin." I yell about to charge

"Stop! Will you two just give it a rest?! Jesus Christ. Can we have one day where you can get along? I'm tired of having to pull you two apart every time I want all of us to hang out." Brooke says

"She's right Luke." Calum says

"Yeah I'm sick of pulling you out of trouble Hemmings." Justin says

"Can we all just get along? Please. For the sake of all of us." Brooke asks me

"Fine. I'll play nice but the moment he pushes me. I'm giving him a black eye." I say

"Agreed." Ashton says and laces his hand with Brooke.

"Finally." She says

They then skate off and things begin getting less awkward. "You're jealousy is showing." Cass says

"Really?" I asks

"Yeah." She says and skates away. Yea she's still pretty pissed at me.

I sigh and watch Ashton and Brooke again. Why can't she look at me like that?
