"What the hell was that?" I shouted at him as soon as we got back to my apartment.

He sat his gun down on my end table,"what?"

I raised an eyebrow dumbfounded, "are you serious!? You just murdered a man in cold blood that's what!?"

"Drop it (Y/n). You wouldn't understand." He started to walk into the kitchen scouring through the fridge, I followed behind him slamming the refrigerator door in his face. He jumped back and turned to me, his eyes...they were black...stone cold black...you know that feeling when you're trapped in a dark room and you can swear that nothing is in the room with you but you can't shake that feeling. He sucked his teeth. Jason's anger was the unknowing fear that something could be hiding in the dark with you.

"Whatever happened to never killing anyone Jason?" I asked him bitterly.

"In case you haven't noticed (Y/n) I'm not the same person anymore! Everything has changed everything!" He marched off into my bedroom.

"You've been lying to me Jason."

He stopped in the middle of the door frame and looked at me, "what are you talking about?"

"What happened to Dick?"

"What are you talking about?" He repeated this time in annoyance.

"Don't lie to me Jason. I know you've come into contact with them right? But like you said earlier they don't know who you are yet. Right?" Jason didn't answer and avoided my eyes. "How did you find me Jason?"

He sighed then paused. "I've been stalking you for a while." He admitted.

"For how long!? Y-You saw me suffering thinking that you were dead but all along you've been watching me, are you kidding me Jason!?"

"It was only three months!"

"Three!?" I turned away from him balling up my knuckles tightly. My mind struggled to make sense of everything. I couldn't figure out who this man was standing behind me. Yes, he looked like Jason but Jason would never kill anyone, never.

"(Y/n)..." Jason said from behind me softly placing a hand on my shoulder. I whipped around smacking his hand off. Jason sighed again.

"How many did you kill?" I asked with a sour tone in my voice. I wanted to know. I needed to know.

"I don't know (Y/n) happy?" I shook my head disapprovingly. "You're mad at me because I killed some gang leader!? Do you have any idea what he's done? He's killed people too (Y/n)!" He shouts.

"That's not the point! The point is we never kill. Never. No matter what. I'm not excusing his actions. What gives you the right to kill him? Who gave you that right to determine his fate Jason? We do what we do for a reason Jay. We push the people who don't follow the law."

Jason stood up straighter while looking down at me with darkness. "I'm doing the job your brothers and Bruce are too scared to do."

I shook my head, "their your brothers too-"

"Don't even finished that sentence (Y/n)." He walked past me nudging me aside in the process grabbing his red biker helmet. I followed him to the door he stopped and turned to me. "Grow up (Y/n) the world isn't as beautiful as you make it, it's a cold and unpredictable place that doesn't wait for anyone."

"Where are you going?" He didn't answer. He slammed the door behind him causing a few paintings to fall off the wall and shattering the glass. I cursed at myself under my breath as I knelt down to pick up the broken pieces of glass. I stopped in my tracks when I saw the photo of me and Jason at our last charity dance before he disappeared. My finger begun to sting, I looked at my index finger to find a small thin slice through the side of my finger. Blood dripped onto the remaining glass. I kissed my finger and got up going to the kitchen to clean it then place a band-aid on it. He was right, the Jason I used to know was a distant memory. This is the new Jason but was I ready to face the true him?
