Chapter 63 - Kicking Off The New Year

Once we got back to Marie's apartment, we found that she was planning a New Year's Party since I was going to be back. I think everyone in New York, and by everyone I mean my friends and all of my school, that you don't kick off the New Year's without me. Bitch, I'm like Ke$ha. The party hasn't fucking began if I ain't in da room, bitches.

Everyone was there. Well, everyone Marie knew from my school, I guess, and who she knew. This is why I love Marie.

The 9 idiots behind me knew no one.

Once we stepped in the room, I gasp. The television was on telling me they watched the ball drop. Everyone was laughing and smiling. Red plastic cups in most of their hands. Music was playing.

"UH UH! OH, HELL NAW! I KNOW YOU DIDN'T START THIS FUCKING NEW YEAR'S PARTY WITH OUT ME HERE, BITCHES!" I yell over the music, throwing my hands up.

The nine behind me snicker as I go on. A lot of the people laughed.

"I'LL BE DAMNED IF YOU DID! BITCHES, THE PARTY DON'T START 'TIL KATIE WALKER WALK UP IN HUR! EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT! WHAT KIND OF SHIT YOU TRYNA DO?! Manhattan's Katie Walker is always the life of the party. New Year's Party don't happen if I ain't dere. WHO STARTED THIS DAMN PARTY WHEN I WASN'T FUCKING HERE?! WHO DOES THAT?! SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS FUCKERY TO ME!" I yell.

By now, everyone was looking at me. A lot of them grinning and laughing.

"KATIE! DON'T EVER LEAVE ME!" My bestfriend- er... old best friend, because I haven't seen her in so long, Avery (A/N: she was mentioned in Chapter 9), cries out running over and tackling me in a hug. My other friends, Melanie, Trinity, and Syndy, followed her actions.

Avery was my first actual best friend. Since 2nd grade to even now. She was always shy so we kinda found each other. She didn't talk and sat alone at recess. I was bullied everyday and would cry over at the tree. One day, she glanced at me, saw me crying, and asked me what was wrong. I started to tell her what was wrong when the bullies thought it was a great idea to come over.

------------------Flashback------------------

I sat at the tree with my knees pulled up to my chest. Tears came in rivers down my cheeks as I tried to sob quietly.

Sure, boys are mean, but girls are meaner.

Why is a little 7 year old girl crying her eyes out at recess you ask? Well, I'll tell you.

Three of the meanest girls at school started picking on me. They called me names and shoved me around. And they were a lot bigger. They were 5th graders. Of course, I couldn't fight me back. They said really mean things and called me names I wouldn't dare repeat to my parents. I would get in so much trouble.

The quiet girl walked over to me. She didn't ever speak unless the teacher asked her a question. I think her name is Avery.

All that ran through my head was 'Here it comes again'.

I gave her a scared look. She wore a confused look. She crouched down to level her face with mine.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" That was probably the first time she ever talked to anyone in the class.

I stare at her in fear. What if she bullies me next?

"You can tell me." She urged.

"Y-you're talking?" I whimper. My back pressed against the tree. I hugged my knees tighter.

She blushes, "My mommy and daddy always say I'm too shy. Why were you crying?" She repeats.

I bite my lip. My cheeks puffed out. "Jessica, Tanya, and Whitney bullied me. They called me names and everything." I admit.
