It has been days since we began our journey. We have been travelling through the woods, almost never leaving them. Fiona and Travis left us about two days ago. Fiona and I became pretty good friends. I never thought I would say that I became friends with demon, but here I am, my best friend right now is a demon.

The weather here is unpredictable. There have been days where I take off my jacket and unbutton a few buttons on my shirt because I am dying of heat. Then there are days I wish for a better jacket. We have woken up covered in frost a few times.

Today was one of those days. I had woken up, pressed in between Sébastien and Angel, as if the two men were trying to keep me warm. I was told by both that frost lined my eye lashes, lips, and hair. They both had frost in the same places.

Currently, we were riding along a stream. Our formation is a line. Angel in front, me in the middle, and Sébastien in the back. The river moved rapidly in the opposite direction as us. Flower petals scattered about the water. Red, pink, purple, blue, and yellow petals.

I glanced up. It was an overcast day, clouds covering the entire sky with grey. What looked like crows or ravens flew in circles high above us and above the trees.

Cold wind blew. Hard. I tried to pull my jacket tighter around me, with no success. A shiver went down my spine from the chill. My teeth chattered and I pressed myself closer to Enoch, trying to keep warm.

Enoch whinnied and began galloping. My fists clenched in his mane, trying to keep myself on. I closed my eyes and heard the pounding of horse hooves from Geneve and Octavius coming after me and Enoch.

Angel and Sèbastien must have called out to me at one point. I did not hear them though, so the wind must have carried their voices away from me. All I could hear was the pounding of hooves and a howling wind. The wind seemed to circle around me, whipping my hair around.

My grip on Enoch's mane loosened when I felt him slowing down. I began to sit up straight and open my eyes. I looked around. Nothing looked familiar. Well, that makes sense. I have no idea how far we galloped.

Geneve and Octavius came to a stop on either side of Enoch. Angel and Sébastien were both breathing heavily. They both had worried looks on their faces. I smiled a little at them.

"Are you okay?" They asked in unison.

"Yes, I am."

"What the Hell happened?" Angel demanded.

"I honestly have no idea. He just started galloping away from you two."

"Are you sure that you did not provoke him to do so?"

"Yes! I did nothing of the sort! Why would I ever wish to leave you in the dust when I have naught idea where I am going and you are the only one who can help me? You are the only one I know who could possibly help me figure out anything about my past! I do not wish to leave you!"

Angel had a smirk plastered on his face, "You wish not to leave me?"

"I mean, I do not wish to leave you behind on the quest as long as I have no recollection of my past or whereabouts. You shall not leave us behind, either, Angel. I know that you have considered it before."

"I solemnly swear that I will not leave you behind."

"Or Sébastien."

"Or Sébastien," he echoed.

I nodded as we got back into our linear formation. I am terribly sick of travelling. This is not what I imagined the trip would be like. I never imagined making friends with two demons and the eldest son of Lucifer.
