Chapter 4- Try to fight the blood

"Stop avoiding it" Zylen said while leaning against me as I drunk out of the red cup in my hand.

"Leave me alone, I'm not like you"

"Look" He said pointing at this fat boy dizzy trying to balance himself. "Don't you crave that?"

My hands shook as I looked at him trying to control myself I quickly turned my head. "No, I won't do it"

"Come on sunshine" He said then ran into the room for a split second before for returning with a knife. He cut his arm and my nostrils flared.

"Stop" I yelled while running out of the kitchen to the bathroom. I looked into the mirror seeing my once brown eyes turning a glowing white.

"The days almost over" Zylen said tapping his watch. "At midnight you'll lose consciousness and eventually it'll kick in, You have to eat"

"No" I yelled at him while looking at myself in the mirror as my eyes darkened.

"Don't fight it Skyler"

"Leave me alone" I yelled as I turned around and he wasn't there.

"I'm not here, I'm in your mind" He whispered in my ear and I cried in my hands.

"Why?"

"Another symptom of becoming a vampire. You sense a presence that's not here, I'm not here I'm just in your mind, I'm currently out as we speak, Why do you think no one can see me right now?"

"I don't understand" I said trying to stop everything.

"I'm not physically here but I'm mentally here. I'm talking to you right now as I'm someplace else, I'm here to help"

"You did this to me I don't need your help"

"But you do" He said appearing on the counter and I ignored him as he leaned closer to me. "Don't fight it"

I gripped the counter and ran out of the bathroom bumping into Jace.

"You okay?" He asked grabbing my arms and I looked up in his eyes seeing them turn a light shade of orange.

"No, You're one of them" I said trying to get out of his grip and he tightened it as Zylen pushed me and gripped Jace's throat letting me get away.

"Let him go" I pleaded and he ignored me as he threw Jace on the floor.

He looked at me and I ran out of the house. I looked at my hands seeing the wind blowing against them. I stopped walking and gasped.

I looked back not seeing the house anywhere in sight.

"Picked up my speed" Zylen said as he stood in front of me.

"What happened back there? What is Jace?"

"He's a werewolf"

I laughed. "This is literally like twilight"

He furrowed his eyebrows. "What's twilight?"
